Lighthearted thread.

Couldn't decide what to have for tea, so I settled on toast. Fresh white loaf with loads of proper butter on with a cup of tea. Simple but absolute heaven. Perfect combination.

DH couldn't care less about toast and rarely eats it

No 6 for me, 7 at a pinch. I love toast, but if I had really fresh crusty white bread I wouldn't toast it, i would just have it as it is with butter and cheddar cheese.

Toast with Heinz tinned tomato soup, or toast with poached eggs.

Mmm Allinsons seedy with raspberry jam or honey, or thick white toasty bread all buttery with marmite and a strong mug of tea! Heaven

i like it either very light or burnt (this isn’t given to the cat) burnt buttery toast with very soft scrabbled eggs is an amazing combination

Love toast. Just sad I could not show my love in a poll! I like 4/5 browness. I actually enjoy hot buttered toast on its own but sometimes have honey or marmalade

I sometimes treat my dogs to marmitey toast for a treat. A small square each. They love it .

I had toast on Friday night after sinking a bottle of wine while out with the girls. Heavenly.

My first job after leaving school had a toast trolley that came round every day at about 11. You ordered and paid when you started work and it was delivered to your desk by the lovely lady with the magical trolley.

Yep, it's just the perfect food, whenever DD has her friends round I end up making a load of toast for snacks because it's almost universally liked.

Brown seeded bread, 5 or 6, with peanut butter and banana for lunch today. Only disappointment was using the smooth peanut butter instead of crunchy, but it was too late and I couldn't stop myself once I'd started. Will do better tomorrow

With slices of cold cheese (not cooked, so just off a cheese block) and smothered in HP Sauce.
