Sick of hairdressers not getting me the colour I want?

I want to go silver. I show them the exact colour I want and I alway end up with ash blonde mixed with warm blonde pieces. I hate it.

I’ve had six sessions already and probably paid near £1K now and still nothing.

This is currently my colour and it’s definitely not silver.

Why on Earth do you want silver? I don’t think it looks nice on anyone. That colour looks lovely.

Natural silver can look amazing.

Absolutely. Natural silver is gorgeous. Fake silver is ghastly.

I don’t think it’s for people that use the word ghastly.

English speaking people? Ok.

OP means old people.

And that's the don't of silver hair. It's the same as short fringes and boxy jeans, to signal that you are so young and good-looking you can do awful things to yourself and still be good-looking. For my generation it was piercings, smeared make-up and combats.

I don't know. Magazine articles always warn about cool/ash toned colours and bang on about "adding warmth to the skin for a youthful glow" but I have very fair skin and rosacea and any warm colours at all just make me look really frumpy and salmon-ish.

Cool light blonde hair is the only colour I find that looks genuinely flattering and actually improves the appearance.
