I love getting advice from Mumsnet, but TWO threads about airfryers in Active??

To add to all the rest of them....

Just please Google what you are interested in and add "Mumsnet". It works. I've done it for years. Saves you starting a new thread and clogging up the internet. Thanks.

I mean you could just scroll past the airfryer threads.

Personally I find it more annoying when people start threads to complain about other people's threads, but there you go.

That’s what I thought- but my version was a lot less polite

FreshWinterMorning · 25/11/2023 22:18

Of course YABU. You don't make the rules. Confused People can start threads about whatever they want FGS. It's a free country.

themanicfantastic · 25/11/2023 22:00

You should google the word 'starting'.

Venividi - eh? I'm not the one telling people what to do

Well, it matters to the op or they wouldn't have posted . Why query that?

bellac11 · 25/11/2023 22:22

I wouldn't have noticed the air fryer threads because I'm not interested in air fryers. I know I must be the only person in the world who isn't. It seems

Allfur · 25/11/2023 22:25

Venividi, it's just a tad bossy to tell strangers what to do

BarbaraofSeville · 25/11/2023 22:25

sushiburger · 25/11/2023 22:07

Great thanks! I'll remember slough has a 24 hr tesco now

And the best bit is ........

The answer is WRONG.

Which is what puzzles me about why people ask questions like that, because they do.

Instead of looking on the Tesco website and reading the correct answer straight away, they've decided it's best to post the question on a chat forum and wait for the inevitable contradictory replies to roll in.

Clogging up the internet? On a chat forum?

I’d like to ask people to proof read their thread titles before posting.

😂😂😂

Loveandloveandlove · 25/11/2023 22:59

sushiburger · 25/11/2023 21:57

What time does it open?

Do they sell loose green peppers?

Headband · 25/11/2023 23:10

Can people please stop posting on this thread, the internet is almost full up 😱

FrancisSeaton · 25/11/2023 23:12

@Cookerhood is that the one by the premier inn

That's Sainsburys. Tesco is next to the station.

MadamVastra · 25/11/2023 23:16

Well if I am not in a chatty mood I will google mumsnet (book recommendations) or whatever. Sometimes though I'm in the mood for company so I might ask which is a good thriller for me to get back into reading? Or, what do we think about the booker prize shortlist?

MadamVastra · 25/11/2023 23:17

Anyone know good thrillers to get me back into reading? 😂

PuppyMonkey · 25/11/2023 23:18

Proofread is one word. Wink

There’s something very innocent about “Aibu to ask what time the Tesco on Slough High Street opens tomorrow?” etc

Someone mention Slough High street?

niche username joke

You just want to chat to people, right here and now, about airfryers so why SHOULDN'T you go with the illusion that MN is some kind of 'community' (which it is in a way) and post for a chat about what's on your mind right now? why does this annoy OP so much?

'Clogging up the internet' 😂Heard it all now!

As MrsTerryPratchett said, cleanse 10 billion gazillion porn clips off the internet, that'll save a bit of space since it's nearly up to its limit apparently 😆

...and, as someone else said, 'but if you diligently google and find a thread on your question, if you post on it you will be smartly slapped on the wrist by the posters who hang around with nothing better to do than notice an old thread revived and smugly put you in your place with ZOMBIE THREAD!!!

... like it's contaminated or something

kitsuneghost · 25/11/2023 23:33

It's a bit self service checkout v manned till.
Some people aswell as wanting an answer, want to incorporate a chat.

Let Me Google That

For all those people that find it more convenient to bother you with their question than to google it for themselves.

Most advice can be found on Internet and I definitely chose that over MN for very sensitive issue today regarding a family member.

Clogging up the internet? Oh shhh. If anyone shouldn't be posting it's you and this nonsense. Getting opinions on a product from other MN users is far better than using bloody google.

Damn it!

Thank you for your contribution of wisdom, it’s why I love MN.

I do hope we haven’t clogged up the internet too much.

underneaththeash · 26/11/2023 00:00

Things move on..what might have been the best air fryer in 2022, may not be the best in 2023.

my hate is people posting on health threads when they have no idea what they’re talking about. It’s potentially very dangerous.

Hastae · 26/11/2023 00:01

Just clicked on one of the air fryer threads to see what was so awful about it. Looks perfectly reasonable to me. I find google pretty shit for suggesting which gadget to buy. Articles behind paywalls, things from years ago, lists that look promising until you realise the stuff isn’t sold in the UK… no, I’d much rather ask a group of human beings for their tips. Not seeing the problem.
