To be genuinely shocked by the apparent illiteracy of Andrea Jenkyns?

Have we really reached the point where it is acceptable for a senior MP to publish a serious (presumably) document that is barely legible?! It's not a text or a tweet or a Mumsnet post for goodness' sake. It reads as though she spoke it into her phone and hoped for the best. If this is what passes for communication nowadays, no wonder people struggle to connect and constantly misunderstand each other.

Therefore it follows that the absence of grammatically correct and properly constructed prose reflects the complete absence of logical thought and clarity of argument.

It is appalling. I understand she has ADHD. But Word can check grammar or she could get someone to proof read it.

I have ADHD and one of my oldest friends is dyslexic. We were both writing more coherently than this at the age of about eight. Besides which, nobody is saying she’s a bad person because she can’t write, they’re saying it’s shocking that someone careless and with poor communication skills is occupying one of the top offices of state.

It reads as if she had a few bottles of wine before dictating with a megaphone.
Sounds a delightful lady!

This is not an example of evolving language. It's a regression.
