Daily, weekly, monthly, yearly etc?

boonpop98 · 13/11/2023 14:19

Usually once a month as they live about 2 hours away
How about yourself

girlfriend44 · 13/11/2023 14:22

never they are dead.

Lottapianos · 13/11/2023 14:24

2-3 times a year for a few hours at a time. Text every few weeks in between. We have a very distant relationship out of necessity (they're narcissistic) so its more than enough

HamsterBanana · 13/11/2023 14:24

2-3 times a year for a week at a time, they live on the other side of England.

Fluffy40 · 13/11/2023 14:25

Both deceased, we see mum in law every weekend

LubaLuca · 13/11/2023 14:26

A couple of times a week for one, a couple of times a month the other. In-laws just once a year because of distance and they can't travel.

Moominmoko · 13/11/2023 14:26

A few times a week normally. They live about 10 minutes away. For years we lived a 4 hour drive away so I definitely don't take the time with them or help with the kids for granted!

Natsku · 13/11/2023 14:28

Not often, we live in different countries. My mum usually comes to visit once a year for skiing but my dad doesn't like coming here in winter so only see him every few years, either when I go to the UK or they both come for a summer holiday. But its weeks at a time each time (last time I stayed for 6 weeks) to make up for the lack of frequency.

chuffachuffchuff · 13/11/2023 14:29

Everyday. They live next door

TruJay · 13/11/2023 14:29

I only have my mum, see her pretty much daily. If I didn’t see her one day, we’d still talk on the phone. I dread the day she’s no longer around.

DailyMailHater · 13/11/2023 14:30

Every week

Lizzieregina · 13/11/2023 14:30

Mine are deceased, but I live 4000 miles away from home, so saw them yearly while they were still living.

poignant · 13/11/2023 14:31

Couple of times a year because they live abroad. I stay a week or so at theirs. They won't travel anymore.

PurBal · 13/11/2023 14:31

Mum: fortnightly but wish it was less
Dad: twice a year or so (lives abroad)
MIL: fortnightly and wish it was more
FIL: deceased

MintGreenPolo · 13/11/2023 14:32

Haven’t seen my mum since August. We live near each other but we are not close

Bostonbakedbeans · 13/11/2023 14:34

Both sadly died now, but used to see then once a week (30mins drive) to bring over their shopping and have a cuppa and chat/sunday lunch. Miss them.

Wendyspotatopeeler · 13/11/2023 14:34

I see Mum every couple of weeks. My Dad lives abroad, last saw him 2018, I think.

childrensward · 13/11/2023 14:34

I see my mum daily, and if we can't for whatever reason we face time at least once. She's my best friend!
My dad I see probably daily but probably every other day sometimes too.

DRS1970 · 13/11/2023 14:35

Never. Father died, and I am estranged from my mother.

Gerrataere · 13/11/2023 14:38

One died and haven’t seen the other since I was a toddler. They were/are both not very nice people to say the least, so it probably wouldn’t be often even if I could see them.

fingerguns · 13/11/2023 14:41

About once a month on average, but we see them more in the summer than winter. They live 2 hours away.

Locallady2 · 13/11/2023 14:43

Most weekends. I sometimes go a couple weeks without seeing them if either of us have lots of other things planned.

margotrose · 13/11/2023 14:44

I see my mum once a month on average, my dad maybe once a year? They're 45 minutes drive away and I work full-time so it's not easy to pop round. Dad and I aren't close at all.

I see my in-laws five days a week as they live round the corner and look after our dog while we work.

LauderSyme · 13/11/2023 14:49

My mum lives a couple of miles away and I usually see her every week. We sometimes stay over at weekends so I can help her get a good lot of household and garden jobs done. Pa is sadly deceased, I wish I could see him.

ManateeFair · 13/11/2023 14:50

About four or five times a year, maybe? They all live 200 miles away from us and none of them drive and are now also not confident getting the train, so it's not easy.
