GB 'News' - when did this start? It's not even news - there's no on the scene reporters. Just dubious characters and selected commentators spewing xenophobic shite.

When all other news channels were reporting the developing situation in Gaza this week, all GB News we're doing was attempting to stir up outrage about today's Pro-Palestinian March.

I couldn't believe what I saw. Farage has his own show to spew his poisonous divisive diatribe. He was showing some random photo of some (white, middle-aged) poppy sellers outside a tube station. There were people from last weekend's Palestinian support march coming out if the tube station. Some had children. Some were non-white (as in any London street). All just walking - nothing to remark about. Farage was saying the photo was definitive evidence that immigration has gone too far and we have brought in too many people "who don't share British values." Wtf! Most if the people in the photo are probably as British as him! Farage is despicable and his language is that of hate and division. I can't believe he gets away with it.

I can only assume Suella Braverman is auditioning for GB News, given her pathetic attempts to incite division this week.

Well let's see if Sunak will now expel Braverman from the party. For directly inciting the English Defence League (or whatever they call themselves) yesterday, some of whom were arrested with knives and batons. There was less policing for the actual march and any potential extremist elements within that because the police has to contain this mob - and we can bet what news channel they are watching. i read an article saying the police were turning away Jewish supporters in London and allowing pro Palestinian marches but if they let small groups of Israeli supporters wade into a large Palestinian march and Israeli supporters are beaten up the police get the blame for not keeping order. They are there to keep people safe and if it means turning back the small group (because you can’t turn back 100,000) so be it it isn’t because they favour one or the other.

I never 'watch' GB news but sometimes look at clips. It's just a load of people giving their opinion. You don't always have to agree to watch something.

They could do with some more different opinions and they all seem to think the same.

This is why the provision of news and information is actually a serious business that was restricted in the past, op: why we used to have qualifications and a public sector broadcaster that was independent of government. I sometimes watch Mogg. I like different views. Does it mean I always agree with him - sometimes yes, sometimes no. But it is refreshing to watch other points of view apart from BBC, Sky, C4.

It reminds me of the Brexit debate. Anyone who supported leave was frequently tarred as a nasty intolerant thick racist. The worst intolerance I have ever seen is that from that small % of remainers who still recoil with visceral horror when you tell them you voted to leave. They never want a debate they just want to vent bile.

My husband and I went to top universities, are both from very ordinary families and have people of many faiths and ethnicities in our lives. That is not inconsistent with being someone who voted Leave or who thinks GB news is quite good.
Don’t agree with the opinion of everyone who’s on GB news, but same goes for BBC. As Nigel Farage so frequently points out on his show - it’s about having a reasonable debate.

Debate becomes impossible as soon as nasty labels are thrown.
