Not Caramac!!!!

Hot on the heals of the news that Mars are discontinuing the Dark Chocolate Bounty, Nestle have confirmed they are discontinuing Caramac.

I’m in confectionary mourning.

Caramilk is definitely not the same. Caramac is thin and brittle and leaves crumbs in the packet you can hoover out. It is also brilliant for cheesecakes 😔

Caramilk is definitely nothing like caramac. I am currently looking at caramac bundles on Amazon. 🙂

Personally I’d rather eat my own sick than a dark Bounty, but those of you who feel differently will be relieved to know that this is a temporary measure, according to Mars.

Dp is allergic to chocolate (I know! It is actually really dangerous as his airways close up!) but he can have caramac - i actually had to break it to him gently!

I will investigate caramilk tho
And get onto Amazon pronto (though they have in the past arrived completely broken)

I absolutely love Caramacs but granted, I haven't bought them in awhile. Perhaps that's why.....it's not a sweet treat people fancy as much as milk chocolate probably.

Ceramic is one of my guilty pleasures. I feel wholly responsible for it being discontinued - I think about it about 1000x more often than I actually buy it, and when I do buy it it doesn't taste quite as good as I remembered. Off to Sainsbury's to stock up.

FFS. 2023 has been a really shitty year for me and this really isn't helping. Especially the Dark Bounty news. I haven't been able to find them for ages but had read online that it was a temporary production halt.

I was told on a sensory course (emotional needs) that caramac choc was very close in flavour tones to breast milk (or something similar)which is why people often have an emotional link to it! Not sure how true that is, but it's a 'fact' that has stuck with me!

While I love dark chocolate Bounty I've never heard of Caramac. So will not be missed!
