Me neither, but she was a fairly successful model, and has been co host of a Prime Time Saturday night show since it started. He does some radio and TV presenting. I know he was a model too but not sure for how long.

Why would he need to do that? It was a few texts, I wouldn’t need to be persuaded not to throw my marriage away for such a trivial reason.

Blimey if they stopped footballers from having post playing careers because they were unfaithful/used prostitutes/ had threesomes etc etc etc there would be no one to manage any teams who has any football experience! That probably goes for most people in showbiz too. You'd be hard pressed to find unfaithful. If I married a footballer or an actor I think I'd just have to accept it and say ' bring any diseases home and you're out' because it would be more surprising if they didn't cheat.

Men get away with this because the bar for male behaviour is set very low. And women (like CR and TD, who seem decent and hardworking ) are automatically seen as money grabbers, as this thread has illustrated! Even when a woman's behaviour is beyond reproach, some dick on the internet will find fault. Whereas men always have excuses made for their actions.

So they probably conclude that it's easier to forgive and forget, than to go through the trauma of divorce and shared custody of children, dealing with potential step parents etc.

To be fair to Vernon Kay texting a glamour model some non salacious messages is not really I the same league as getting steaming drunk and shagging prostitutes on a regular basis. As PP said, is it worth not seeing your children for 50% of the time and not knowing who they are with for the sake of a one off stupid thing? I do think thete is a double standard when it comes to the single women eho have affairs with these celebs. Sienna Miller got far more stick than Balthazar Getty for having an affair with him, and the same with Lily James and Dominic West. Her career doesn't seem as prolific as it was, yet West is there in The Crown sleazing away as that other famous cheater Prince Charles.

@Angrycat2768 I'd say Lily James' career has soared since the affair. Previously she was the good girl in Downton Abbey then Cinderella. Now she seems so have more star power. It really made me think any press is good press for these people.

I imagine the relationship worked for them. I like to think she made her being able to pursue any career choice she wanted while he took a back seat if required part of any agreement.

Has it? I remember a time when she was I every bloody film I watched to the point I was sick of seeing her, but I've not seen her in anything for a while. Maybe she's not in anything I want to watch anymore.

She’s in three films released this year. She’s a bloody good actor who’s entitled to a private life without being judged for it.

Wow she has literally dropped completely off my radar! Well I'm glad she hadn't been punished for her affair though and her career is still going strong.

I suppose it depends on what Tess was actually doing i.e. if her job to have the perfect marriage or influence was directly related to passing judgement or advising people on how to act in marriages then it would be a problem.
As she is just a popular presenter on television on shows that have nothing to do with her personal - how she manages her personal affairs is her business.
