YABU

the weather is fantastic. It changes all the time, gives us character and makes the place beautiful.

Stop moaning.

I thought other countries got weather too? Am I wrong?

DANCESwithaMuffinTop · 10/03/2008 15:49

I love the UK and I love our weather BUT only when I don't have to go out in it
Now I'm home with dc (after freezing wet school run ) and I can hear the rain chucking it down outside, there's a yummy smell wafting from the slow cooker and it's warm in here, can't beat it

Miggsie · 10/03/2008 15:50

Try the weather in Holland...it's WORSE

pedilia · 10/03/2008 15:50

I love the weather here but it can make life difficult be being so b***y unpredictable!!

At least we don't get the really extreme weater (or at least not that often, thinking typhoons, hurricanes etc

milkgoddess · 10/03/2008 15:50

nooooo
i love the uk
the only thing i don't like is how British people moan about the UK. show me a better country .

milkgoddess · 10/03/2008 15:52

yes pedilia, you have summed it up perfectly it just a pain that its so unpredictable!

be a bit dull if it was sunny all the time i suppose.
plus it wouldn't be so green and lush

expatinscotland · 10/03/2008 15:53

We escaped the winds up here!

Still a wet, cloudy day, but no wind and as it's 4.5 degrees, fairly pleasant.

milkgoddess · 10/03/2008 15:53

and it is nice to have changing seasons

oh god ive turned into an old bastard

OP posts:
pedilia · 10/03/2008 15:56

We had the winds but nothing to bad, it had been sunny then rain, then sun..... can't keep up!!

jellybeans · 11/03/2008 12:52

I quite like it. I like sitting by firs when it is freezing. I like the sound of the rain on the house/windows. I like the greenery of the countryside. I like looking forward to summer (not sure we would apprecite sunny days if we had sweltering heat all year) and for each distinct season. I love autumn. other than that, I think the UK is pretty good. We have alot more than poorer countries and this is my home at the end of the day. All countries have their + and - points.

jellybeans · 11/03/2008 12:52

That should say fires lol not firs (that would be a bit cold!)

mrsdannydyer · 11/03/2008 12:54

i love the weather here, imagine how brown it would all be if it was sunny all the time

mrsruffallo · 11/03/2008 13:03

I love the weather and the beautiful trees. We often walk in the rain and everything is so fresh and beautiful.

Ripeberry · 11/03/2008 14:09

I've got news for you Expatscotland, the winds are coming your way! and they may even be worse, but at least it will be at nightime.
keep safe!
AB

Ripeberry · 11/03/2008 14:11

My favourite weather is in mid-late spring, being in a bluebell wood, just before the tree buds open and bright blue skies with hardly any breeze.
Heaven!

chelsygirl · 11/03/2008 14:12

theBOD · 11/03/2008 14:16

yanbu. the only problem is you might have to move outside the uk to find people who truely agree with you.

OrmIrian · 11/03/2008 14:20

TsarChasm · 11/03/2008 14:23
