changed their knicker styles? The style I have bought for years no longer exists. Have bought underwear from M&S forever, but have had to shop elsewhere.
Very disappointed!

I'm so confused, how can they relabel non-shorts shorts?! What are their actual short knickers called?

I like their maxi cotton ones, no shame, obviously not for dates but hold the old mum tum in nicely. I don't want any lace or nylon near my gusset, thanks.

I still haven’t got over them changing the side they sew the label into. I have been wearing high rise knickers for 30 ish decades and when I couldn’t reliably put my knickers on in the dark anymore (by just feeling for the label), it was a sad, sad day.

I hate shops that discontinue stuff, Morrisons a few years ago did an amazing mango and pink peppercorn salad dressing for about six months, one of the roaming managers said it had been discontinued because there was no demand but the assistant standing with him said I was the fourth person who'd asked for it that morning!

Twenty or more years ago Sainsbury's did a tearing bread with chocolate chips, lovely when just warmed.
Over thirty years ago Ritter Sport did a Mocha bar that they don't do now and I still haven't forgiven them.
Why do Schweppes not sell Bitter Orange in the UK yet they do in Germany? Not Brexit before someone ticks that box, this predates all that nonsense.

Quite often, commercial decisions are based on increasing the profit made on a line that sells well by reducing the production costs. If they changed the name and have changed the style very slightly it will either be to save on the cost of raw materials, or they have changed their manufacturing supplier to a cheaper one.

And what about their Tunis cakes?? Can't find any in my local M&S store! Apparently they're not now selling them!😩

The M&S midi knickers! Im also disappointed by their absence.
Also a particular style of vest that Ive worn for years that disappeared during Covid and hasnt returned........ but Primark do a very similar alternative (which is also cheaper so thats a win)
And their bras............ sigh. Ive worn M&S bras for years and now I cant seem to find a style in their range that I like but Im weirdly attached to M&S bras and reluctant to try elsewhere but desperately need new ones!

If you can still put your pants on at all (inside out or back to front or otherwise) aged 300 you're doing pretty well!!

I was very sad when they stopped doing my favourite memory foam bras. So comfortable.

I'm almost over this now
but about 20 years ago M & S stopped selling salmon and cucumber cottage cheese. So very sad

Echoing what some PP have said, Tu is where you want to go for plain, black midi knickers. I prefer them to the M&S ones because they have a little bit of lycra and don't go baggy over time.

I only buy Tu knickers, now, not M & S any more (not because I'm in a huff about the lack of cottage cheese)

I'm not sure that's always the case. I think sometimes it's the buying team or suppliers unable to meet crippling payment terms. It's incredible how often I'm told "you're the fourth person who's asked today, we don't stock them as there's no demand".

Sainsbury's knickers are great. All shapes and sizes. And since M&S downgraded their fabrics you can't tell the difference.

I'd like to know WHY M&S won't make decently priced, pretty bras for people with small backs and big boobs. Haven't bought a bra from M&S for over 15 years now... simply because they don't do my size! it's such a shame as I used to buy all my undies from them.

In the olden days, I understand that some knickers were labeled 'C&A' to avoid confusion. No wonder they closed down.

Yes, yes, yes! They're the only ones I've bought for about 5 years now. Substantial with a little band of stetch lace at the front. I have every colour under the sun - and lots of black!

A high rise short is an oxymoron so if they have name changed to reduce confusion that would be a fail.

Also M&S shorts were one of my worst buys the crotch was so narrow, so I don’t hold out much hope for the high rise short.

Argh i had this last summer. Midis discontinued and my bra style too! I was all geared up to replace my entire collection (I live abroad and go to England once a year) and they don't do them anymore.

Midis: I ended up buying from Next. They're lovely and soft but are a bit higher than Marks.

Bras: ended up trying several different styles but they just aren't as good. Very disappointing.

Not to scare anyone, but I'm sporting my new Tu pants right now- in leopard print! 🙈 Fabulous pack of nude/ black/ nude & black leopard. Who knew leopard could be comfy & school-teacher friendly? Certainly put a spring in my Thursday 🤣
