Am I the only person who thinks Victoria Beckham looked better in her early Spice Girl days...

I don't get why she's so celebrated as a style icon for being skinny. She was lovely and had beautiful facial features in her early fame days

I’d say they’re all very thin, and many have gone through phases of looking too thin. Some may be slim naturally as I am. But the fact of it being natural doesn’t mean it doesn’t exert pressure on women who don’t have such small frames. I’m aware of this as I have a teenage DD.

HW was much curvier previously and has obviously felt pressure to slim down.

It is healthy to remain slim, Holly has slimmed down because she was putting weight on- I have never seen her look anywhere near 'too thin'.

I know a fair few people who could do with a 'little pressure' to help them lose weight and eat more healthily. In my world I don't see many women who are starving themselves, it's quite the other way- most people are a bit, or a lot overweight.

I’ve never seen her look fat either, but she clearly felt pressure to slim down, which is why I included her.

If you live north of the Midlands that’s par for the course, I live in London, there are lots of skinny women here.

Why do you think that is? women 'up north' are certainly exposed to the same media as women in London so why do they not succumb to the 'pressure' from celebrities like women in London?

Huh? You feel sorry for VB??? The Beckham's are the ones to reignite it with mentioning it in their -PR stunt- documentary.

Before that, RL was happily living a life of obscurity with her family in Norway or somewhere.

In London the pressure is not from celebrities it’s from social norms. It’s been chic to be thin since the 1930s. Same in France, where women have the lowest BMI in Europe. Societal expectations are different.

I think she looked better in 1995 before she skinnied herself into oblivion about four years later but you lot do you and please do take the opportunity to scream feminism while you call me fat and jealous.

I believe VB has an eating disorder that she has been living with for many years. When she looks at her body she doesn’t see what other people see.
