I wouldn't care, because I've not said anything racist, misogynistic or nasty about anyone. The worst that would happen is people would think I'm eccentric bordering on mad, don't like Tories, and talk shit to myself. They already know all these things anyway.

When you're wearing a microphone, nothing is a private conversation. The same way I treat all email as if it's being read out in public, I treat all conversations when I'm wearing a mic or might be recorded, as if they could be recorded and broadcast.

I'm no angel. I say some bad stuff sometimes. But I'm pretty careful not to slag people off, especially when I'm wearing a microphone (which I have occasionally had to do for work).

I don't think his comments alone were bad enough for his career to be ruined. I'm aware there's probably worse stories about him to come out though.

I'm also sick of celebrities milking the suicidal card every time they're caught misbehaving. The irresponsible way the media portrayed Caroline Flack's death as being the fault of social media bullies has given celebrities the go-ahead to weaponise suicide, in order to silence criticism and play the victim.

Jack Monroe is a lying scammer who, if anything, deserves to be cancelled more than Walliams, for her fake backstory, scheming, and charity fraud. She's committed crimes, and no one cares because she's portrayed as a "good leftie" therefore everything she does must have an innocent explanation. Different type of crime, but this is how Brand was protected back when he was still a "good leftie" himself.

Monroe's criticism of Walliams' books was not even valid: she claimed a particular character was black when she wasn't, and tried to claim it was racist.

I would never advocate banning books; if kids or parents don't like them, then they don't have to read them. It's hard enough for kids to be interested in reading without banning popular books, however distasteful people might find them.

He is a creep. He is not a normal decent man. The less we see/hear from him the better.
