I understand why they are so set on destroying Hamas

Having seen the stories of the women and girls raped at the festival (reportedly over their dead friends bodies) and the people taken off as hostage; I understand why Israel want to destroy Hamas. They have said that Hamas militants are dead men. They have said that they will go after them. The worst killing of Jewish people since the Holocaust and their 9/11 with death toll of over 1300 people.

The story of the women at the Music and Peace festival is here -

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12623023/Israeli-girls-raped-friends-bodies-Hamas-terrorists-carried-second-Holocaust-British-relatives-reveal-condemn-celebrated-atrocities-Gaza-Iran-London.html

Yet some people celebrated when the killings of Jewish people (they were from many different countries) at the festival was announced.

I feel sadness for everything going on in the middle east and for all the people who are innocent are are dying. Terrorists need to be stopped.

Hamas 'carried out a second Holocaust' in Israel British relatives say

Two British nationals, Noam Sagi and Sharon Lifschitz (pictured), spoke of how their elderly parents were torn from their beds and forcibly deported to Gaza by Hamas along with children

I understand why they want to stop Hamas

I don't understand why they are targeting the civilians of Gaza. Almost 2000 dead this week including more than 500 children. Palestinians have been unable to vote in an election since 2006. They did not choose this don't deserve this and collective punishment is a war crime.

Both sides are wrong and the innocents on both sides suffer.

It's all wrong.

Edited

You know they say they're not targeting the civilians, right? You can disagree with that if you like, but you need to acknowledge it.

For not wanting to kill civilians … they have killed 600 kids and over 1.5k people … and they’ve done for decades. maybe they should consider another job if they’re doing their job that bad!

also when they throw white phosphorus is that only for Hamas or for the civilians as well?

EasterIssland · 14/10/2023 13:43

Shit happens you shouldn’t have chosen ti be born in Palestine.

I understand why they are so set on destroying Hamas

They are not targeting the civilians - pathetic weasel words

They just don't care if civilians are there
They are breaking international rules of war targeting areas where substantial civilian casualties would be expected
They also seem to be defining any Palestinian as a Hamas supporter including children to justify their bombing and hooting

So not "targeting" but killing them just the same. I mean it makes all the difference that the person who killed your child wasn't "targetting" them doesn't it ?

Itisyourturntowashthebath · 14/10/2023 13:46

@EasterIssland they didn't mean to kill those people, so it is fine.

In normal life you'd have no difficulty understanding the difference in moral culpability between someone who kills a child accidentally, carelessly, recklessly or deliberately. The difficulty people have with the distinctions in this context is purely politically motivated.

Hamas didn’t mean to kill the ones last year. It’s fine
ira never wanted to kill anyone. It’s fine.

Do you think this behaviour of someone of Israel is accidentally ?

In normal life I would say dropping bombs in residential areas or pointing guns at someone was murder

In war, the Israeli actions apparently pass the criteria for war crimes (UN)

No, I think the difficulty is for a different reason. And that poster has had posts deleted for expressing too honestly what that reason is.

andtheworldrollson · 14/10/2023 14:06

Stop killing people
Killing people is bad
Whatever their religion
Don't see why that is hard to understand
Don't see that it's subtle either , it's not nuanced
Surprised sone people think killing is ok

SurprisedWithAHorse · 14/10/2023 14:26

It's incredible that you get banned faster for making up a story about a cheating husband than for posts that explicitly name and attack Jews.

Itisyourturntowashthebath · 14/10/2023 14:35

The only Jew I have seen named and attacked is Netanyahu. Having less than 23% of the Israeli vote, he does not seem to be overtly popular with Israelis and probably even less so with those from other countries.

I'm glad that the overtly antisemitic posts of the last few days, that specifically attacked Jews and referred to them as such, were deleted before you saw them.

You'd be wrong. People have pointed guns at a friend, thinking it was unloaded, and killed them. They weren't held responsible. Others point a gun at someone to defend themselves, they're also not held responsible. And so on. I know you all understand this when it comes to individual moral responsibility.

EasterIssland · 14/10/2023 14:49

Why aren’t Palestinians from the north moving to the south if they’ve got two safe corridors to escape!
oh wait

AgentJohnson · 14/10/2023 14:53

Every other YouTube ad that I have seen in the last two days has been taken over by Israel's Foreign Affairs Ministry ads.
I’m guessing they have found another outlet to piss me off.

There are always going to be arseholes who support Hamas , just as there are people who think an hours warning is enough time for 1.2 million to leave on mass, taking as much as their lives as they can carry to who the fuck knows where is acceptable.

This incursion won’t make Israëli’s safer, in fact it will do the opposite. And before you say ‘what are they supposed to do?’, I DO NOT KNOW but I know this isn’t it.

I wasn't claiming that no Israeli, Jew, or IDF soldier has ever intentionally killed a civilian. You won't find an army on earth without a soldier who has intentionally injured and killed civilians.

Israel are not retaliating. They do not want to kill little children, but the Hamas terrorists don't really seem to care about protecting their children. Israel actually gives ten minutes warning before they bomb a building, Hamas tell civilians to ignore the warnings.

Wow a whole 10 mins to get out and leave your whole life behind. Where are these people supposed to go?

Trying to move approximately million people in a short time frame with only two routes is flipping impossible. Some are old, ill, have just lost family members etc. It's not just going to an airport to fly off to an all inclusive. Surely you can see that?

Well according to everyone it is a hellhole anyway so what is being left behind exactly? No food security, a barbaric terrorist government, endless fighting and danger.

Hamas need to be removed for the sake of everyone on either side.

I would simply say that YOU really need to read again instead of rushing to post what you THOUGHT Sky News said.

It's claim and counter-claim as we speak.

So, I ask....were you trying to mislead people on here with this? 🤔🙈
