So nothing biblical.

For me today it was ASDA, 1pm on a Sunday, event going on nearby so huge amount of traffic to get in, even longer queues inside, screaming kids, adults barging by you, having to queue for customer service.

Anything else would include cave diving, pot holing or being on a submarine.

I’m assuming this is lighthearted. A few years ago when Ed Sheeran played 2 nights at Roundhay Park, I lived quite close by. Sound check started at about 1pm, and then we could hear the gig clearly no matter where we sat in the house. That was pretty awful.

Wash your mouth out!

Life in general.

Stop start traffic. It took me almost 3 hours to drive 38 miles earlier this summer because of roadworks (A30 SW Cornwall). I was bringing a friend home from visiting her husband in hospital. I got pretty terse when she kept talking and she hasn't spoken to me since.

Busy, sweaty, noisy soft play full of skanky people swearing at their snotty kids.

Bingo.. seems to have the same type of people frequenting it.. overweight, smelly slobs!

Weddings that go on too long with terrible music like ‘cha cha slide, ‘sweet Caroline’ and ‘build me up buttercup’ Argghhh kill me now!

Mummadeze · 10/10/2023 20:01

I worked on a factory production line for a while as a teen, and the boredom was really hard to deal with. Hats off to anyone who does this as a career but it was like time had slowed down and every five minutes felt like at least an hour. One of my jobs was to watch deodorant cans pass by under water and look for bubbles in case one was faulty. It was excruciating.

cavalier · 10/10/2023 20:11

Trapped in a lift ..

Unplanned pregnancy scares-
getting the test, making sure I’ve pissed on it and to wait for the results.

Wanting to be pregnant and become a parent and getting a negative pregnancy test.

been in both scenarios and both are hellish in very different ways.

Alphamare · 10/10/2023 21:23

Other people… pretty much sums it up…

As a kid we always did a caravan stay every year, a static one with two bedrooms and two bathrooms and we’d go to the beach every day, the amusements, read books, and watch tv as a family. Some of my favourite memories.
