With plotting to kidnap, murder, rape..how terrifying

Me too, it played on my mind last night, a woman is at significant threat of kidnap, rape , abuse, murder by a group of incels. An act of terrorism against women , and as much as the overwhelming majority are appalled the couple of posters giving it did she make it up to boost her popularity or why is she getting special treatment are really letting their envy and bitterness get to them,

even those not bothering to even read a news article on it they give so little of a shit. Like the poster who just wrote was it a fantasy. No . No it wasn’t. Try to see past his once weight and maybe read a news article.

It’s an awful situation, the barrister said in court he was part of a vast group of like minded men, so clearly an incel group. What was planned here was an act of terrorism against women, with Holly as the poster child. No different to where we have seen any other terrorist group brutalise and murder an invidual and ever single woman snd man should be bloody horrified.

Like all extremist groups you will have the keyboard warriors typing out all manner of vile content but would take no further than their own bedroom and then you have the ones who will act on what ever sordid beliefs they hold and that's the frightening part. I've never understood men that hate women because they are women.

Yes and this was the latter, he was acting on it.

obviously we only have what was said in court, but it seems two of them involved in the kidnap /murder, him being the instigator, but other men on line involved, possibly being planned to go to where they held her to harm or rape her, it’s unknown.

but it does seem one of those men in the group has reported to the police when they realised it was real , they were going to do it, and not just a sick fantasy.

Now escalating to kidnap, rape, abuse, murder of an innocent woman. A mother, a child, a wife, a friend, a colleague, a sister. Just because she was in the public eye. The poster child for women in their view. They planned and were going to brutalise and then murder her.

and that’s utterly terrifying for women everywhere. Utterly terrifying For men , who have wives, mothers, daughters.

I don’t think he hired anyone or was in a group at all as has been suggested here. Incitement to commit could be something like making comments online encouraging or suggesting someone should kidnap her- like a comment in a forum ect that was a bit dodgy. I haven’t read anything that suggests it was an actual plan.

Whilst the plot is maybe real, these awful things can happen as with poor Jill Dando, This Morning are cynically using it for ratings, with Dermot talking about how Holly is on the front pages.

On This Morning today, Dermot O'Leary said: "We are not going to talk too much about it but Holly is on the front pages after police arrested a 36-year-old man over an alleged kidnap plot.”

Huh? Do you think they shouldn’t mention it? They aren’t using it for ratings. They have to talk about it. Christ is the news using it for ratings as the bbc did a full five min segment on it.

I think they absolutely should talk about it. Why should incidents of violence, or attempted violence, against women and girls be hushed up?

Did you even read my post? It’s not that they’re talking about it, it’s them telling their viewers that it’s front page news. Completely unnecessary, just focus on what happened, no need to hype it up for ratings, it’s bad enough as it is.

In fact, the more light that is shone on these incel groups, the better.

Poor Holly :( I don't know how you recover from this. Another example of women being taught not only can we not walk the streets in the dark because its unsafe but apparently now you can't be famous or known either because that's not safe. Not safe from these disgusting creatures, we must all just hide apparently and achieve, be, do and have nothing to draw attention to us.

if they did a whole segment on Holly and this, and then advertised it everywhere, sure we would get you. But a quick couple of mins saying our thoughts are with her and all horrified is quite frankly as far from hyping it up as you get.

Yes that’s what was said in court. It wasn’t released as such by the police.
i don’t think she can lead a normal life again. Apparently itv have got her 24/7 security. She will be worried about her kids.

and if the police are still outside her home, which they are, then they think one of the other men in the group or the guy from America coming over to “take part “ . Might still do so. They won’t be putting manpower out there if they thought the risk was over.

I can't imagine that it would be easy to kidnap her. She doesn't strike me as someone who is on her own very often. She is chauffeured to and from the this morning studios. I can imagine her home is gated with lots of security e.g alarms, cctv.

I can imagine there is probably staff in her house, like a house keeper, nanny etc.

Only really seen photos of her alone when she is dog walking, and that is in the Richmond area, not the countryside.

I think someone would have to spend a long time stalking her to get to know her movements. Such as watching her coming and going from her home, and maybe working out a way to break into her home to be able to get an opportunity to pull it off. Possibly a Jill Dano style execution might be possible, but not kidnap.
