I've never broken a bone or given birth, but I have had some very painful periods that have made me feel like I'm going to pass out. Also terrible travel sickness / vomiting on a 20 hour trip that left me wishing for death due to how crap I felt.

Childbirth. Hands down.

MrsT84 · 03/10/2023 21:05

Cauda equina - the days leading upto emergency spinal surgery were agony, and the day it all went wrong I couldn't even lift a leg when I was lying down it hurt so much!

Mossstitch · 03/10/2023 21:05

Infection under a wisdom tooth........I paced the floor clutching pillow to my face through the night crying.......I've given birth to three hefty boys without pain relief and without a tear😪

Bonjovispjs · 03/10/2023 21:05

Fluid on the brain.

Weepingskies · 03/10/2023 21:05

Labour pains when I was also septic with group B strep - gas and air did nothing. Eventually got to ITU post emergency section and they gave me 2mg morphine for pain relief - nowhere near enough!

Vallmo47 · 03/10/2023 21:05

Unmedicated childbirth … 10 pound baby who then got stuck at the shoulders. God that burn.. that burn that burn. I wouldn’t have been surprised to see someone stabbing me with knives down there.

Jayneisagirlsname · 03/10/2023 21:05

Back to back birth followed by forceps.
Miscarriage.

Been lucky other than that so I've nothing to compare those to!

cluster headache

I came to say the same. Hope you don’t suffer too frequently.

StEtienne93 · 03/10/2023 21:06

Severe kidney infection was horrendous. Could hardly walk types of was that painful.

I also once did something to my back, that was almost as painful as the kidney infection.

Someone mentioned c-section, but I didn't find that too bad. I think people have differing thresholds, with different types of pain.

NotYourHolidayDick · 03/10/2023 21:06

All 3 labour's were a piece of piss compared to my molar abscess dental pain. Was howling in the night with ice packs across my jaw. It was HIDEOUS. Never ever ever ever known pain like it.

GriseldaClement · 03/10/2023 21:06

Gallstones, horrific pain closely followed by dental abscess. I’d take my failed epidural over either of them!

IncomingTraffic · 03/10/2023 21:06

I dislocated my arm and it made me scream out loud. That really hurt. That , and childbirth .

I was going to say that dislocating my elbow was worse than any of my three child births. The three attempts to manhandle it back into place were excruciating.

C-section when the anaesthetic failed. Felt everything.

Tereseta · 03/10/2023 21:06

Necrosis of my gall bladder, lying on the toilet floor of a and e

Lammveg · 03/10/2023 21:07

Childbirth. Accidentally gave birth at home with no pain relief after being sent home from the maternity unit because it was my first baby so that always means a long labour ....was holding my daughter less than 4hrs later lol

SmokedCheese · 03/10/2023 21:07

Being induced with IV drip. It felt like 0 to 100 in just 2 minutes. Well worth the pain though

Hellocatshome · 03/10/2023 21:07

Kidney stones were definitely worse than anything else I have felt and I have broken my elbow and given birth to two children.

Somanycats · 03/10/2023 21:07

Kidney stones.

quirkychick · 03/10/2023 21:07

Gallstones
Migraine
Both of which, even 5 hours plus after the pain went, I still felt horrendous
2nd c‐section when the spinal block wore off part way through.

AWellReadWoman · 03/10/2023 21:08

Labour and then C Section recovery, tailbone abscess and corneal abrasion. All caused horrendous pain.

hiredandsqueak · 03/10/2023 21:08

Spiral fracture of my ankle which was awful, but incredibly awful when they manipulated it into position. I screamed into the gas and air mask as they did it. Giving birth five weeks later seemed a doddle by comparison.

grosslyunfair · 03/10/2023 21:08

Acute pancreatitis. Thought I was dying and then I nearly did!

Roiesin57 · 03/10/2023 21:08

Gallstones, worse than giving birth for me, and a tooth abcess

Iheartmysmart · 03/10/2023 21:08

Dry socket following a tooth extraction, the most awful pain ever. And broken ribs from a car accident. I passed out hyperventilating because it hurt so much to just breathe.
