To intensely dislike Keir Starmer

LemonyTicket · 27/09/2023 00:42

I can't stand Tories.
The current Tories are the worst

But I still intensely dislike Keir Starmer and will probably vote Green.

I find him phony, with no vision, like a terrible 6th form prefect. And to be honest his whole front bench are dreadful. Wes Streeting nauseates me.

Is it just me?

@Lastchancechica

I'm not that easy to erase. Not is any other woman I've met.

You really seem to have no idea… I really can’t help you.

madamepopov · 27/09/2023 14:32

@Lastchancechica
The treasury note was a joke! It's a longstanding tradition to leave them for the new ministers. David Laws has even apologised for leaking it as even he acknowledges it was completely taken out of context.
You can obviously believe what you like but it doesn't make it true!

cardibach · 27/09/2023 14:33

Lastchancechica · 27/09/2023 13:48

Thats not true is it, the school became a fee paying school.

After he started. How was he supposed to control that?
And as for his 6th form studies, maybe he had a bursary? Maybe to avoid disrupting his education his parents borrowed/scrimped/whatever to keep him in the same school. It doesn’t affect his credibility anyway. Children don’t typically get to decide what school they go to or whether the management of that school decide to change its type.

Alternative suggestions for prime minister:

Kathy Burke
My ex boss
Bernie Sanders (not allowed sadly)
Any of the guys from Queer eye (see above)
Lord Grantham (fictional admittedly)
Danny Dyer
Ian McKellen
Marcus Rashford
The fit one from Duran Duran
Rachel Weiss

I could go on all day....

Also to add to this list.
A turtle, a fridge, a woodchipper, Kevin, a candle, and Lord Voldemort.

cardibach · 27/09/2023 14:34

@Lastchancechica could you name someone in the Labour Party, or who supports them, or anyone really, who has said they don’t want any border control?
What utter nonsense you do spout.

CurlewKate · 27/09/2023 14:34

"Starmer is a multi millionaire and privately educated. There is nothing remotely working class about him. I can’t believe his supporters genuinely do not see the hypocrisy."

I don't know if he is a multi millionaire but if he is, he earned it. He is not privately educated. And he is, if we have to use such archaic terminology, upper working/lower middle class.

@madamreign take something like males in female sports. Can you see that’s not great for women?

I know you say you don’t care but even the most uncaring on the issue can see it’s a problem for sporting fairness for women surely

Wiki on sixth form fees below

If Wiki knows the answer, how come Keir Starmer said he "can't recall" how his sixth form fees were funded? Did his parents pay part fees or none at all?

When did he say that?
Also it’s not implausible that a young person wouldn’t know the ins and outs of household finances, is it?

madamreign · 27/09/2023 14:36

@Lastchancechica

Nope, you can't help me whatsoever. You got that right 😁

Keir starmer

He is talking about joining an EU initiative to take more migrants! He does not support any action on the immigration front.

Lastchancechica · 27/09/2023 14:30

The conservatives insisted on the preservation of single sexes for one! They have fought against self id and the relaxation of rules surrounding trans certification. And in Scotland.
Sunak has said women do not have penises. Weird that he had to until you see what Starm says on the issue. They are welcoming of female leaders and PMs. Unlike Labour. The list goes on.

Oh dear. I'm sure Liz Truss must have really enhanced the lives of you and your daughters... 🙄

May gave us self ID, NHS is getting more money for more GR clinic, 96% of applicants get a GRC without surgery, its 100s per year and increasing.

Single sex spaces have reduced under the Tories and males now compete in female sport, what little there is after their cuts to schools and sports.

what list...? you are just making things up.

There is not enough time to educate you regarding labour and their impact on women.

Lastchancechica · 27/09/2023 14:25

The treasury note was most definitely NOT a joke!

Of course it was. As was this one, which I could bash Tories with but don’t because I apply a little rational thought.

Edited

Sorry, could you provide the quote saying he doesn’t want any border control? That’s what you said. And the agreement he’s talking about isn’t about accepting more anyway.

cardibach · 27/09/2023 14:46

Lastchancechica · 27/09/2023 14:42

Wrong note 😂

No, chica. Not the wrong note. Another note, showing it’s a tradition and that Tories did it too. Are you reading any of this? Or understanding any of it? Or anything else you’ve skimmed from other sources?
To be honest, you not reading properly or understanding what you’ve read might explain some of the nonsense.

Truss was totally incompetent. I see nothing to celebrate in her "making it".

I really don't care what sex leaders are - only that they're fit for purpose.

I’ll give you Thatcher. Truss though…not at a GE. Didn’t last more than a month (and 2 weeks of that was national mourning).
FWIW I think it’s time Labour had a female leader. They still aren’t as toxic for women in their actual policies as this current Tory government have been.

I am still waiting for the number of Labour leaders that have been female?

I am waiting for any female Labour PMs in all of history?

LadyWithLapdog · 27/09/2023 14:50

We are still paying £££ for Truss’s utter incompetence. I’d keep quiet about that one, rather than pushing her as a shining example.

CoffeeCantata · 27/09/2023 14:50

cardibach · Today 14:23

@CoffeeCantata what have you got against Angela Rayner?

I think it must be her hair.

Hair is a huge issue for me with politicians.

There haven't been any. I think I made it clear that it's an irrelevance as far as I'm concerned. I'd rather there were none than have had one unfavourably compared to a lettuce.
