Do you wash your back?

And if so, how? I usually let the soap from hair run over it in a shower, but not sure if that’s actually cleaning it!

Flannel. I’m not the most flexible so hold the flannel with both hands…

Flannel. Over the shoulders fron the top and up from the waist from below. Awkward but doable.

My Great Grandfather was a coal miner and he rarely washed his back. There was a superstition amongst miners of his generation that washing your back would weaken it, which was a problem working in such confined spaces.

I soap under my arms and wash no other part of me, just assume run off from shampoo etc will clean me.

I wash my back in the shower last, as otherwise it gets greasy when I rinse off my hair conditioner…which is designed to cling to hair, but seems to stick to skin as well.

Yes, I loofah my whole body. Back doesn't get as much of a scrub as the rest because it's awkward, but definitely washed!

What do you honestly think the issue is? I don't do physical work, the shampoo, soap etc rub off is more than sufficient. I smell perfectly nice and am incredibly healthy.

You're just brainwashed by the cosmetics industry

Yes with a long handled brush and shower gel. I would feel grim if I didn’t wash my back once in a while.

Fair point, I don't have periods due to pill, but when I do then I would specifically wash there, because there is something to wash. Whereas backs etc don't get dirty in a normal day, so they don't need washing specifically
