I can't figure out if they've been too cosseted to develop flexibility, or if it's just a fad. All the safe spaces and trigger warnings, etc, feels like overkill but also a bit too sudden, so I'm hoping it's more of a fashion than an actual failure in social development.
My Gen Z nieces & nephews are capable of understanding different perspectives and thinking for themselves but, yeah, there does seem to be a widespread tendency to stamp their offended feet if asked to question their assumptions.
