To ask what mumsnet post lives rent free in your head?

Just for fun.

Mine is the woman who posted for advice about what to do about her husband who was talking to their cat really sensually. Not baby talk but like sensuous loving ”ooh your fur is so good my darling pussycat” and it gave her the absolute ick.

Every time I talk to my dog I remember her and chuckle. I wonder how she’s doing 😂

I can't even recall the thread topic but a poster used a phrase I'd never heard before.

I can confirm I now vigorously check for fanny gravel before I use a public toilet these days. 😂

For me:

The op had made her ds an Easter bonnet for school. She thought it might be too scary and everyone said no it couldn’t be. She posted a picture, it was! 🤣It was brilliant.

Supersoaker, such an annoying op.

A post along the lines of someone with a new boyfriend who was giving her oral sex, their eyes met and she waved 😂

I'm fairly sure it got taken down as outing, but the one where the OP's partner/husband sprayed dettol in her elderly cat's face. There was a fair bir of back story about him being an arse. I alwayswonder what happened to her and the cat. I hope they left him.

The one where a nervous lady went to a hospital appointment and the doctor tried to put her at ease. Lots of banter went back and forth between them. He then said (well she thought he said) 'Make a face' and he then turned away to prepare something.
So when he turned back, she was pulling her most craziest face. Stammering, he asked her what she was doing so she explained that she was pulling a face like he had asked! It turns out he was asking her to make a FIST so he could take blood! Apparently he was laughing so hard another doctor had to come in to do it. Really made me laugh!

There's one on a spooky thread where someone was house sitting and the puppy gets out at night and she chases it into the woods. I won't say all of it in case I spoiler it for someone who wants to read it but I've never forgotten it.

There was a post once titled something like ‘my friend has been pregnant for a year’ and it was a lady posting that her friend looked pregnant, insisted she was but had been claiming the pregnancy for a very long time.

I never read the end of the post and often wonder what happened.

The poster who had a neighbour who played the piano badly and he used to complain to her about the birds in a tree in her garden putting him off. 'Rhubarb and Custard' was mentioned for the birds taking the piss out of Rhubarb along with the cat.
I think he asked her about cutting her tree down. Totally batshit but I loved it!

There was one that got deleted by a woman who was asking if she was unreasonable to have shouted down the phone at a young girl, as she was so pissed off the restaurant got her food deliveryorder wrong - think it was missing the chips! She started having a go at everyone telling her she was completely unreasonable. Then she preceded to make a post about how horrible people on mn are 😂😂

And the one where the woman was getting work done in an outside building and thought the electrician was having sex in said building, he'd brought a blanket with him etc so set up camera's in her house to catch him. Turned out he was having an affair. Don't know what the ending was.

Most recent was crab stick catflap gate!!
