People chucking piss at gigs

Just came back from a gig at a local park. I’ve not been to a gig for ages and was really looking forward to it but the amount of people wasted and the amount of plastic cups of piss flying around really spoiled it. We were nowhere near the front so had quite a lot of space around us but still pissed people knocked in to us like a good few times.

I went and had two drinks, it was £10 a drink each and a no food or drink could be brought in with bag searches so people must have spent a fortune.

Am I just old and miserable or aibu to never go a gig ever again.

This happened to me at V fest and Knebworth. Knebworth was cups of piss thrown into the crowd. Lucky it was raining so we all had rain coats on and they took the brunt of the piss

At V during NO music playing the guys behind us were just pissing on the black tarp floor covering and it was all running down into the crowd, being still the middle of the day time waiting for the music to start we were still kind of sitting on the ground with our stuff/jumpers/food with us and we got covered in it. There isn’t much shade at V if it’s hot but what shade there is, you can’t ever use it as men and women are pissing AND shitting in broad daylight under trees and by fences. I walked back to my car afterwards on the Monday and not one single portaloo was in a usable state just had piss and shit all over the floors by then. People also just piss up the tents on purpose too

V fest was the most rancid, vile festival/ gig I've been to, piss you expect to an extent but the shit omg 😬

This absolutely is not new, I’m afraid. Reading Festival has been notorious for flying piss at least since I went in 1999. I was there in 2000 when Daphne and Celeste were bottled off the stage with bottles of piss.

The absolute bollocks that is the unshakeable belief on this site that women will ever do anything disgusting is ridiculous.
But, if ever anyone concedes that a woman might do something then it's still blamed on a male encouraging or forcing them 🙄

I got soaked by something just as Foo Fighters were coming on the pyramid stage in Glasto, became evident very quickly it was piss. It was such a bucket list moment I tried to ignore it and just enjoy the set I lasted about half hour but I just couldn't bare it any longer. My hair was dripping and I had some undoubtedly gross mans piss in my eyes, friends tipped all the water they had over me to try clean it up but my clothes and everything it was just awful. I bailed and went to queue for a shower and get changed. Will never get over it. It's put me off going back to Glasto Sad

no piss throwing. And I’ve luckily never every witnessed it during any other festivals or outdoor concerts!

They do it because they can't be arsed to leave the gig/lose their space by going to a loo. So they piss in a cup then they throw it to get rid of it. It's utterly revolting. Happened to me at Leeds festival years ago and it's even worse knowing that you can't get a proper shower for a day or two. Really really grim.

It started on the football terraces, not throwing at first, just pissing were you were. The throwing was being done at matches in the 70's.
Women might be as capable, but we just don't do it. Women's football has been congratulated on being truly family friendly, just because it was predominantly attended by women.
I don't think outside gigs work in the UK, we have too much antisocial, binge drinking going on. I go to every indoor Noel Gallagher gig and it's a mixed crowd.

Seen it happen at festivals in the 90s. It's not pleasant and we did make an early escape the following day to get home and showered. Wised up to it the following year and stayed well back out of the way.

I'm have been going to gigs and witnessing men piss in pots and throw it for 35 years and never ever seen a woman do this. Where have you seen this specifically?

I went to a Liam Gallagher gig. Same thing happened. Later in the day, drunk and drugged up blokes lobbing piss in cups, plastic bottles. They were even throwing glass wine bottles. Plus food they were done with eating. You just couldn’t enjoy it. I ended up standing at the edge so i could still see but out of the firing line. Constantly on edge though. Also the amount of blokes walking through the crowd openly selling drugs. Shouting out what they had to sell. I was shocked they were so blatent. How can you say youve had a great time, spent loads on a ticket when in reality, you cannot remember the gig due to drink/drugs 🤦🏻‍♀️

See Stone Roses has already been mentioned, got a heavy plastic bottle of piss lobbed at me whilst heavily pregnant (and in the stands!) in Manchester about 6 years ago. Was so upset I left, luckily near the end. It hit me with some force!

They’re the people we’re talking about - it isn’t beer.

We saw this recently at the Arctic Monkeys at Old Trafford, having seen lots of it at V Festival in the early 2000s.

The idea that women are also doing this when even a cursory think about the logistics tells you it would be a tricky manoeuvre in a crowd (even if we assume such women are both wearing a skirt and carrying a she-pee) is ridiculous.

Men wear both underpants and trousers that makes it incredibly easy to piss in a cup discretely in a large crowd. The fact that they then choose to throw it rather than bend down and pour it onto the grass is inexplicable.

My one and only Oasis gig. Man City stadium, 2005 as layla had just come out. After being offered a snort off the back of someone's hand I was hit by a cup of what I assumed was warm beer until I was enlightened by my friend. We retreated to the stands rather than staying on the pitch. From my new vantage I could not believe how many flying cups I could see.

Was at that with my partner at the time. He said when he went to the toilet there in the concourses there were lads just pissing in the sinks and the floor was covered in piss.

Mainly standing in a crowd and need a piss they can't exactly wee all around them because people would get splashed on or step in it. So they pee in a bottle and then lob it people they are thick as shit.

Not as ridiculous as trying to convince people that their own experience of the world and the relative behaviour they have witnessed from the two sexes their entire lives is somehow incorrect. A few anecdotes about women being disgusting from male defenders on MN isn't going to wipe out years of first hand experience of who does what, is it? You might as well try to put out an inferno by chucking a cup of piss at it.
