Womens' World Cup Final - Where's the PM?

Just as the Australian Governmnet have pointed out that Prince William is also Prince of Australia, we hear that the Queen of Spain and her daughter are attending the final.

So, in contrast where is Sunak, the PM who loves jet travel? Would he not be attending if it was a male England team in the final.

This cerainly puts the Lionesses in their place; dreadful!

And that makes the point that we have no idea what else royals have in their schedules unless we go looking for announcements in the media.

Who knows what other things William, Catherine and their children are doing this week that means they couldn't or wouldn't drop everything to fly to Australia? Yes they are royals but tbh I would rather any father, royal or otherwise, spends time with their family than flying halfway round the world for a football game - and I say that as a football fan who has flown all over Europe to attend games, if it was a choice between spending time with DD and going to a football game DD would win every time.

The Spanish Royals also always holiday in August, as does pretty much every Spaniard as it is generally the month everything shuts down as it's just too hot (when I lived in Madrid, other than tourists and the main tourist hotspots the city is shut up like a ghost town), so I presume their schedule is much more flexible if they want to fly across the world for a World Cup Final, especially as their children are older and can cope with such a long trip.

William was also on holiday.

His excuse was 'his carbon footprint'.

I'm not enabling excuses, I just don't give a shot about whether he attended so I couldn't give a shit what his reasoning was as it was totally irrelevant.

What was important was the 11 English women on the pitch, not where one English man was watching it but I've seen more posts on social media about PW not being there than I have about any one player who actually played.

He should have shared a plane with the Spanish RF!

Or take a regular flight that was going anyway. Very long journey though!
