to think that some people should just stop moaning?

Some people are never happy, are they? They moan that they are in a bad situation, usually of their own making, then they moan that nobody will help them, then they moan that when someone does help them, it's the wrong sort of help, then they are dug out of the situation the put themselves in, only to put themselves straight back in again.

If you are moaning you don't have enough room in your free house for 2 kids, and then you get put in a bigger (free!) house so you do have enough room, why do people then get pregnant again? Are they stupid or what????? It's just a kick in the teeth to everyone who helps them when they are desperate, it's wasted money down the drain all the time. They should be made to live with it. It's not my problem if they can't keep their uglies in their pants.

sorry to ignore you Colditz (and I don;t mind one bit btw...)

Nicetry "true alliances and real friendships on mumsnet" - yes I have both and many are now real life friends. You can't choose to use this forum as a completely anonymous cyber- experience but many of I don't choose that and do engage in RL with other mumsnetters too.

Of course people can namechange if they want to but if its because they're ashamed of their views (rather than embarrassed about something) then I choose not to engage with them. Why do you have a problem with that?

Manders126 · 29/02/2008 16:47

To Answer the question that originated in this thread, No, Madam. You are not being unreasonable. Everyone is entitled to their oppionion. And I dont think that discussing this issues is in anyway, wrong. I agree with alot of these views. Some people just ask for too much, and DONT help themselves. They take and take and take, and expect more when their lives dont 'magically' fall into place. I heard a young girl one day in a coffee shop moaning about how she couldnt get college grants. Then as if she'd had ephifany (sp?) said quite happily to her friend. "I know! I'll get pregnant! The government just throws Money at you when you have babies!"

What has our world come too? Our Young people are beginning to understand this circumstance as truth, and DOING it!

Gee...I dont have any money...and I dont want to work...what will I do? Mommy and Daddy wont support me anymore...

I know! I'll get Pregnant and get Medicade and a monthly check and food stamps!

The government will take care of me!

Its sad, its disgusting to see that my tax money is being ABUSED like this. I dont mind helping REAL needy families. But these f*king lazy shits who think that popping out babies like Pez despensers is going to get them the cash they need, need to go jump off a f*king bridge, and end their misery before they bring more life into 'their' miserable existance, and do the entire world a favor.

Think Im harsh? Think Im insensitive, Go out there and actually LISTEN to what people say about this, especially the young girls. You will be shocked, shamed and disgusted. As I am.
