It's MIL's birthday next week, she's 65. She's really hard to buy gifts for, never says what she wants and loves tacky tat. The sort of stuff that goes viral on Facebook/TikTok. But I'm really bad at buying tat presents. Any suggestions? What's trending on the tat scene at the moment?

Her hobbies are playing golf, watching soaps, and drinking wine. She has no interests really. She hates food gifts.

You've got a list of her hobbies. Decide your budget and get her a gift related to them. Like a gift to a golf hotel in Scotland with a friend.

Presumably (seeing as the post is specifically asking for help with it) OP WANTS to buy her MIL a birthday present.

The best gift you could give her would be to do her the courtesy of giving her nothing. At least then the woman would know where she stood with you, rather than having all this sneery nonsense going on behind her back.
Tell her son it's up to him to buy his mother a gift.

Can't you pass this off to your DH if you are struggling? It's hard when you aren't in the right frame of mind.
