Do you ever wish you looked like…Barbie actress.

… Margot? I do! I’ve watched the Barbie movie three times now and I’ve developed a girl crush on her for some reason. I’ve watched a few clips of her Barbie promo with Ryan and she just exudes cool, fun but also serious and mature energy. Never seen any of her movies before.

Pathetic but I’m considering her Barbie promo style a bit of a style inspiration. I’m trying to dress more girly and feminine now. I’m also losing weight too. She’s just soo cool and pretty.

I really envy her and Tom’s relationship/marriage even though I know nothing real about them. I wonder what is going on with me because I can recognise this is well weird and it’s only the last two weeks I’ve felt this way.

I don't think 70% think Margot is unattractive, They just don't necessarily want to look like her, as they are happy as they are/as themselves.

I am one of the 70%. I think Margot is gorgeous, but the OP asked 'do you wish you looked like her?' I don't, so I clicked on YABU. As did 7 out of 10 others. It's fine to say Margot is stunning and pretty, but it's a bit weird to want to look like her. That is the sort of thing I would have said when I was 15.. But it was Debbie Harry.

It seems (to me) that only someone really young would admit they want to look like someone else. Normal to think 'I wish I was slimmer or taller or had longer hair or curlier hair etc...' But wishing you looked like another person isn't normal IMO.

Exactly. I don't want to look like anyone else. Not because I am gorgeous..Just because I am fine with the way I look and looking prettier would not help my problems one bit.

I am pretty sure she has had NO work done. She looks young and fairly line free.

She's defo had work & of course there's botox, who hasn't done both in Hollywood!

I don't think those pictures show any cosmetic work. It just looks like weight loss and increased confidence to me.

SleepingStandingUp · 09/08/2023 23:39

I mean I'm a elwc obese 42 yoother of 3 so Margot Robbie would clearly be am massive upgrade. But I'd have to be the au naturale Margot

Margot Robbie stole her now husband from her flat mate at the time…and that’s a true story

Omg,did she like leave him on the shelf or in the porch one day and MY just came along and picked him up and like "haha you're mine now, regardless of your desperate please to remain faithful, I have power over any penis I want and I have stolen yours!! I'll keep it in my purse until I need it!"

I think I posted the wrong link. There's pics from Neighbours days.

It still doesn't look like she's had anything done.

Hivaluegirl · 10/08/2023 02:07

No I am a beautiful woman as well but I will enjoy her money lol she is stunning though

She's always been pretty as f. It's her eyes which I think makes her different to other blond/blue eyed women. They are almond shaped naturally

Agapornis · 10/08/2023 02:14

America Ferrera is the one I'd want to look like - and I wouldn't kick her out of my bed, either Blush

If you think Margot Robbie can't act, you haven't seen I, Tonya.

MrsTerryPratchett · 10/08/2023 02:15

I used to hang around with rock stars so I've spent a decent amount of time in the company of models and actresses. I spent the most informative evening with a stunning model who had just NOT been signed by a major house and in the same club as one who had. She was transcendent looking, genuinely jaw-dropping. She spent the whole evening asking me if I thought she was pretty, if I thought the other woman was more, what she could do, that she only had so long to do it.

I was horrified. I wish every young woman could spend that evening with that woman. I have forever after been glad I'm 'alright in a good light'. Just believing you're a tiny bit better looking than average is incredibly liberating.

And therefore no, I don't want to look like Margot. I would love to spend an evening with her though. I hope she's happy and funny.

WandaWonder · 10/08/2023 02:25

You could not pay me enough to look like that

Mumuser124 · 10/08/2023 02:48

I have no idea why, but I find her to be quite unattractive. I find her very pointy.

Johnisafckface · 10/08/2023 02:52

Honestly I don’t think she’s all that. But there are some people that I see and wish I looked like them, or I girl crush on them.

MooseBreath · 10/08/2023 03:01

I'd rather look like Kate McKinnon (some days I'm not far off from the Barbie version). Still beautiful, but a bit more eccentricity!

Seddon · 10/08/2023 03:02

Blackberriesbob · 09/08/2023 22:34

I'd like to be tall and thin like her but I actually prefer my own face. I'm obviously not as pretty as her but I prefer my own mug.

She's not tall though. About 5'6.

Almost anyone has the capacity to be that thin - I'm not sure it's a good look in real life though it works for the big screen.

She's very beautiful but if I had to pick a famous face to transplant onto my own it wouldn't be hers, I prefer fuller and more exotic features.

She just looks a bit older in those photos ( a teensy bit).
Oh and yes between Margot Robbie and Chris Hemsworth you can thank Australia any time😂

montecarlo7 · 10/08/2023 03:36

No. I like the way I look.

Fraaahnces · 10/08/2023 04:28

My 19y/o DD kinda does look like a Barbie. (Hair and figure, lucky muppet!) She saw the movie and has referred to all males as “Ken’s” ever since. ie. “I’m heading out to the movies after work with a couple of Kens from Uni.” (She’s always been very dry.)

JackRosenberg · 10/08/2023 04:28

The screaming irony of this post is the perfect metaphor for everything wrong with the film itself.

floribunda18 · 10/08/2023 04:51

No, she's lovely but I'd rather look like myself.

Catsmere · 10/08/2023 04:51

Good God no. I'm not enraptured with my own looks but I've never wished I looked like anyone else.

Loopylooni · 10/08/2023 05:04

Yep, she's definitely had work done but no, I wouldn't want to look like her! I think she looks very samey tbh, that blonde, bland look.

She seems happy with her husband (no blind items there) but she was a low grade, pretty actress and he was working with her before she was famous. Then she goes full frontal in Wolf of Wall Street and her career goes stratospheric. They seem very committed to each other though.

I am pretty sure she has had NO work done. She looks young and fairly line free.

That's because...

She is 33.

Are you getting her confused with Madonna? Wink

She has definitely had work don't to change the shape of her eyes, nose Job too.

Loopylooni · 10/08/2023 05:22

@PurpleButterflyWings she's had work for sure, she looks different. All these actresses do, and have the best surgeons. Look at Blake Lively and Rachel Weisz, stunning yet Blake has a different face, and Rachel's face looks taut now. Madonna has just gone too far but everyone seems to be at it.

No idea if she’s had work or not but I wasn’t familiar with how she looks so I checked out this link and wow she really looks my former flatmate who is Swedish! I wonder if she gets told that she looks like Margot Robbie 😄
I think her look is quite common among Scandinavians.

She’s only 33? It could be the way she carries herself but I’d say she looks older. My flatmate was 40 and doesn’t look older than Margot but then again she did look fairly youthful for her age.
