Totally agree. This is the same Costa that previously took issue with women breastfeeding! They clearly have a problem with breasts and would rather see them mutilated than used for their natural purpose.

This is ”inclusive” PR gone mad and they deserve to lose profits.

I hate this stuff so much. Autistic teen dd has so many school friends (all of whom seem troubled / anxious and a or autistic) who have socially transitioned and are breast binded, hoping for mastectomies as adults. They are so brainwashed by social media and peers that this is the right way to go and dd believes they’re old enough to decide. And then this shit appears publicly.

im not religious but I do pray this nonsense vanishes.

Popped in there recently and had to tip away the coffee - was shocked at how very bad it was.

So they hate breast feeding mothers and are actively glorifying the mutilation of vulnerable young girls. Fucking vile. Will avoid from now on.

Maybe they are going to create a range of characters with dysphoria. Anorexic girl hitting their goal weight, maybe? Muscle dysphoric dude popping some steroids? Let's celebrate.

I love inclusive messaging and branding but there are so many ways they could have done this without including a cartoon showing a transman with breasts removed.

A woman with c-section scars? A androgynous character? Someone with a visible disability?

Well no they don't but loads of branding uses people because in marketing it's used to help people visualise themselves doing whatever it is. In this case, enjoying a coffee. If they only show the products it doesn't have the personal element and makes a brand seem a bit cold.

Using people is a basic marketing technique. They should use a diverse range of people, even in cartoon form.
What I don't agree with is they have missed out so many other, much larger groups of people to represent and gone straight for the most 'trendy' category.

Signalling their virtue as a marketing ploy, that’s what.

“Look at how PROGRESSIVE we are. Don’t you want to buy your coffee from a company that shows how kind and liberal we are?”

Aside from the fact that their coffee is beyond awful, using the mutilating surgery of healthy bodies as corporate marketing is just horrendous.

Exactly this, it's always our women and girls that are targeted in order to undermine our solidarity.
I was absolutely shocked when I saw the mutilation on this Costa advert yesterday.
Had this abomination been directed towards any other demographic it would have had a "trigger warning" on it

And then before going to bed, on checking Mumsnet, expected to see an uproar about this......BUT NOTHING!
Have we become so inured at these attacks on women. Do something about this!

I went into the local one to use WiFi. It was one of the filthiest places I have witnessed. It looked like minimal cleaning takes place, eg run a mop over floor but don’t sweep and don’t do corners. It was truly disgusting.
