I have sky, Disney, Netflix, Apple and Amazon prime. But can find nothing to watch - I am clearly watching too much tv, I have seen it all!!

I love comedies like schitts creek, modern family and the Mindy project. Really loving hijack on Apple - loved the morning show.

have seen and love the good place, good omens, veep was one of my favourite shows ever.

Really loved working moms.

what else can you lovely ladies and gents recommend??? Please - I am home alone on Saturday night. Glass of wine in hand - trying to relax.

Kevin can go f himself is really good. Or Jury Duty. Both funny

I've just started watching Jury Duty, thanks to this thread, and I'm sitting by myself, laughing out loud!
I can't believe it initially received such poor reviews.

Revenge on Disney is good, also Brothers and Sisters

Not a comedy but anything in the Yellowstone multiverse -

1883 I cried and I haven't done that in years.
1923. Superb.
Yellowstone. Worth watching for Beth alone.

And my current guilty pleasure is From. Its like an evil Lost. Theme tune is perfect.

yellowstone fan here… 1883 was absolutely stunning

PeriwinkleForever · 29/07/2023 21:01

Thank you for this post because we have similar taste and now I have a ton of recommendations.

one which hasn’t been mentioned already is Jane the Virgin. It’s an oldie but I binged it all earlier in the year and it filled the Schitts Creek whole for a while. Absolutely love it 😍.

it isn’t on Netflix any more but I believe it’s all on ITVX now.

HorseyMel · 29/07/2023 21:01

If you loved "Modern Family" then I can't help you. Sorry.
But at least virtually anything must surely be considered "good" to you?

Problemcat · 29/07/2023 21:04

@ConnieTucker Kevin is SO much like dark King Of Queens isn’t it?!

isitaline97 · 29/07/2023 21:07

Have you watched It's always sunny in Philadelphia? It's on Netflix - absolutely hilarious and gets funnier as it goes on. Theirs around 15 seasons so the early ones are quite old now but well worth the watch (if you like brutal humour - Not for the faint hearted!)

isitaline97 · 29/07/2023 21:08

There's* sorry was a bit excited to post haha

There was one scene when she was upset with her neighbour over an issue that was in everybody loves raymond. When debra got a job. And raymond made it impossible for her.

Lb603 · 29/07/2023 21:10

I'm loving Yellowstone at the moment!

This is a series I only watched episode 1 of and then didn’t go back to - I can’t remember why. I must try it again

Five Bedrooms on iPlayer. I second Deadloch and a Discovery of Witches. We’ve just finished watching The Change on Channel 4 - it’s quirky, but really funny with a great cast.

User16496743 · 29/07/2023 21:17

Yes Five Bedrooms is very good

isitaline97 · 29/07/2023 21:18

@jennyjones198080 it's definitely got a slight cringe factor especially those early episodes - I think it's just showing it's age, but it absolutely gets more funny as it goes on! There are still seasons coming out now, I think it's the longest running sitcom. It's not for the easily offended 😅

Blankspace35 · 29/07/2023 21:18

Superstore on netflix. I thought it was brilliant :)

SertralineAndTherapy · 29/07/2023 21:20

An episode or two of Taskmaster always makes me laugh just as much as scripted comedies"

I really enjoyed This is Us on Prime

Yes, a vote from me

And Gilmore girls

SmartBud · 29/07/2023 21:22

Firefly Lane on Netflix. Currently re-watching it as I loved it so much. This is coming from someone that never rewatches shows.

That one about the women climbing the water tower in the desert and I forget the name is good.

Fall?

😱

TravellingIncognito · 29/07/2023 21:24

Jury Duty, Jury Duty and did I mention Jury Duty. Laughed out loud many times. Got Luke warm reviews at first, clips went viral online, now up for an Emmy.

HappiDaze · 29/07/2023 21:26

I've just started watching in Castle on Disney + which I'm enjoying

Like all these shows it gets better and better once the actors find their groove etc so it also gets more comical in a good way

The Bear on Disney + is also brilliant and they've just brought out a 2nd series

Only murders in the building is great too

mouche202 · 29/07/2023 21:26

You might also like Extraordinary Attorney Woo on Netflix. Plus a second vote for Superstore.

morbidcuriosity · 29/07/2023 21:27

Netflix: The good Place, Lucifer, Dead To Me and Santa Clarita Diet
BBC I Player, Ghosts, Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie, Catherine Tate Show

just a few of my favourite.
