To find unpainted toenails gross?

I wouldn't dream of wearing sandals without unpainted toenails. I just think it looks horrible. Am I being weird? I don't care what anyone else's feet look like though tbh.

Depends on the toe nails I guess. If they are all stained from polish, then yes they look a bit gross. If I’m not wearing polish I buff them and rub in oil so they look fresh and shinny.

Nor do I. I also don't like the feel of it on my nails (including fingernails).

It's quite a strange thing to find people's perfectly natural nails "gross", mind.

Is it a slow news day where you are OP? I don’t give a flying eff what other people do with their own bodies. If you are clean and tidy then why do you need chemical goo on your toenails?

Women's feet are more tolerable TO ME (who hates feet) when prettied up with varnish/gel, and I don't ever want to have to look at a man's feet again!!! Men have such ugly feet!

I read an article recently (might not have been a recent article, mind) where SJP spoke about how she always leaves her fingernails natural as she works with her hands gardening, cooking, cleaning and finds it cleaner and less hassle.

I felt very vindicated from rny short plain (but well kept) fingernails. It didn't include anything about her toenails though...

What about clear nail varnish?

I usually have my toenail painted summer and winter with an exception of a few short breaks. But I don't think women should try and police what others do.

(and let's be realistic - there is absolutely zero expectation on men to paint their nails so this is absolutely aimed at women).

I don't mind unpainted (prefer painted) but I really dislike uncared for. Raggy nails, long nails, dirt and cuticles yack.

Im not a fan of painted toe nails as natural looks better to me but everyone is different. Tbh I give it much thought just prefer it natural....the worse is bright red....looks like a bird of prey.

I have visible bare toe nails lots of the time.

I like my feet in open air.

Nail polish stinks. It chips instantly and then it looks bad all chipped, and needs more smelly chemical paint on it to look marginally better. And I am terrible at applying it. And don't want to buy it. DD's stock mostly dried up.

I am mulling over a campaign for body positivity on natural toe nails.

Feet are grim in general not made any better by nail polish. Some of the nail
work that goes on on hands is, on the other hand revolting esp the sharp pointy shit.

Married into an Asian family. I just kinda look the other way/try not to look at their feet. Move away if they sit next to me and put their feet near me.

I'm the same op. Bare nails ruin a look IMO. If they're ridgy, dirty or broken they make me want to heave, that goes for men's nails too

I cannot stand looking at my own feet if my toes aren't painted (usually a very dark brown/red). All I see is my little brother's feet, that is NOT a good look!
