I’m glad we aren’t burning like southern Europe but bloody hell, it’s like Autumn.

Clicked just for the great title 😁

but yes, travelling south today to get on a ferry and it has been torrential ALL day. Like October. Just dumping from the sky.

Sweetashunni · 14/07/2023 16:16

YANBU. Feels like I should be putting a pumpkin out

YANBU and the Halloween decorations are in store! Honestly would rather be in southern Europe right now, husband family is from Europe it's 38 and they are in the pool with the pizza oven going whilst I listen to the rain 😢

JayAlfredPrufrock · 14/07/2023 16:21

@evtheria

I was moaning that the whimberry pies were on sale. Far too early in my book.

SoupDragon · 14/07/2023 16:35

it's utterly miserable!

WolfFoxHare · 14/07/2023 16:37

Hard to believe how hot it was this time last year! We were away this weekend last year and it was roasting.

The nights are drawing in. #bitter.

This weather suits me, roll on autumn!

JayAlfredPrufrock · 14/07/2023 16:51

I like my seasons. All 4 of them.

This time last year it was 40c and had been dry for weeks.....what a contrast. .

Wearing a thick cardigan in July isn't right!

StJulian2023 · 14/07/2023 16:51

He that has and a little tiny wit,
With hey, ho, the wind and the rain,
Must make content with his fortunes fit,
Though the rain it raineth every day.

LlynTegid · 14/07/2023 16:52

We have a secret weapon to avoid the heat- Wimbledon tennis. You know it will rain then.

To be fair, we've only just finished a "been dry for weeks" period. It was just a bit earlier than last year.

Me too, I am a Celt, we don’t do Summer.

Arewehumanorarewecupboards · 14/07/2023 16:54

This is for all of those who moaned about the heat.

JayAlfredPrufrock · 14/07/2023 16:56

I want clear skies so I can see the ISS.

FrivolousTreeDuck · 14/07/2023 16:56

Don't mind it being cooler but I'm sick of the rain.

usernotfound0000 · 14/07/2023 16:57

Really hope it brightens up for the school holidays. I don't mind the temperature but the rain can sod off.

UtterlyUnimaginativeUsername · 14/07/2023 16:58

At least there probably won't be a hosepipe ban...

DogandMog · 14/07/2023 16:59

St Swithin's day tomorrow... buckle up, we could be in for another 40 days of it 😟

"St Swithin's Day, if it does rain
Full forty days, it will remain
St Swithin's Day, if it be fair
For forty days, t'will rain no more"
