I mean - who looks that good in all their photos. She’s just so beautiful and incredibly photogenic! Not to mention extremely good at tennis, all other sports and everything else in between. William could not have chosen a better wire!

Kate is every inch the proud wife to support William at polo match

The Princess of Wales, 41, was cheering on the Prince, 41, as he took part in the Out-Sourcing Inc. Royal Charity Polo Cup 2023 at the Guards Polo Club in Windsor this afternoon.

Kate is phenomenal, most of you are so jealous and it really shows.

Not being a royalist or fawning sycophant is not jealousy.

In what way is. she phenomenal?
I mean I wasn't keen on Diana either but she did at least take time to.treat, victims of Aids as human beings which at the time wss huge and she did stuff with Land mines etc
What's Kate done exactly other than smile and say the right things at public events?

Rosietheravisher · 07/07/2023 09:10

Beezknees · 07/07/2023 09:04

What does she do that makes her phenomenal? I'm genuinely wondering.

Great question. I await the answer with interest.

Being overweight doesn’t mean you can’t tell if someone is very thin

You have entirely misunderstood my contention that as a society we have normalised fatness. Which we have. Even clothing sizes have been changed as a sop to vanity.

You know this is true. Most of us are overweight - certainly myself included.

There was an American programme several years ago where people tried to live as frontier pioneers did. The men in particular lost masses of weight because they were doing so much physical labour on rations that were appropriate for that time and place.
One of the wives complained to the production crew that her husband was "starving to death". The dietician explained at length that actually he was NOW the ideal physique.

We have just completely forgotten what normal healthy physiques look like. Our fatness has blinded us, to our, and more importantly our children's, detriment.

Why click into them then? It's clear from the title what it's about, take some self responsibility if you find it triggering. People say this but it also takes discipline to work out the amount and intensity she must do to build the muscle she has, and when you have access to whatever food you like that also includes high calorie foods.

Because I have an opinion and sometimes like to voice it?

Nope. Kate used to be a normal weight when younger (please don’t tell me you think she was fat or overweight then) and now looks underweight to my eyes.

I would also say that we are bombarded daily with images of underweight celebrity women. If they gain a few pounds they are ridiculed as fat. Regardless of what goes on in irl in the public sphere it is underweight that is normalised.

SalviaDivinorum · 07/07/2023 09:23

She looks very "hard" in some pictures. Maybe it's the make up she wears. Maybe she looks better in real life.

I confess I don't understand the fawning over her. She dresses like a woman 20 years older than she is and sometimes she looks just plain awful but the press still coo over her choice of clothes. That Chelsea dress was just dreadful on her, far too old and was the same one her mother has been pictured in.

Pipsquiggle · 07/07/2023 09:24

She looks good but I think most women who had

  • unlimited funds
  • a stylist
  • hair dresser
  • a personal trainer
  • multiple nannies
  • multiple staff - chef, secretary, housekeepers
  • multiple homes
  • deportment training
  • people informing her on all aspects of her next engagement
would look equally polished

She has a very tricky job. We don't know her at all.

She's made a conscious choice to be silent on most aspects of life - other than early years and mental health - probably a very wise move but I would like to hear her authentic voice.

I don't think she is a great example to other women though - she lives a very rarefied existence

Brefugee · 07/07/2023 09:26

I wonder why she is so thin.

if i had people constantly looking at me and taking photos of me I'd be thin too.

EvilElsa · 07/07/2023 09:27

Definitely very photogenic. I don't think I've ever seen a bad photo of her. I don't think she is "phenomenal" but the Royal Family certainly lucked out with that marriage. She fits the role perfectly. Attractive, photogenic and immensely dull. She knows what she has to do and does it perfectly.

meddysam · 07/07/2023 09:39

that meant to say true!

Did the op come back ?

Luxell934 · 07/07/2023 09:43

You sound like an obsessed stalker who’s hiding in her bushes.

Did the op come back ?

No - their job here is done.

BallantyneValentine · 07/07/2023 09:47

I am definitely not jealous of anything to do with the Royal family certainly not Kate. She has such a restricted life. Obviously barring poverty or abuse I could not think of a worse way to live. It is an absolutely impoverished existence in every way except material wealth and assets.

lavenderlou · 07/07/2023 09:59

You might not approve if her or her choices but I'm surprised by posters that call her plain or average. They must hang in very attractive circles! Even before she was serious with William she was always attractive.

mondaytosunday · 07/07/2023 10:07

She does look lovely. She's an attractive, fit woman. But she also has a stylist and hairdresser etc, is well versed on how to pose and behave in public. It's her job after all.

the80sweregreat · 07/07/2023 10:11

She is very attractive
If she hadn't met her husband I'm sure she would have been like Pippa and married a wealthy banker / stock broker type.

QuizzlyBear · 07/07/2023 10:14

She's the perfect Royal Stepford Wife. Never puts a foot wrong in public, always looking perfectly presented, never expresses an opinion or an unscripted thought.... 🙄

Comedycook · 07/07/2023 10:17

Spottedsox · 07/07/2023 01:27

Exactly!
I will add...
People hate us to thin folk like we are all sick or injured lol. Naturally thin.
Better than a Lizzo any day.

So if you believe people can be naturally thin, then you must also concede that some people can be naturally fat?

ManateeFair · 07/07/2023 10:21

She's just some woman with a fuck-load of time and money to spend on herself, that's all.

I also find her style boring and frumpy, personally. I think she dresses like a woman 20 years older than she actually is. But that seems to be a royal thing generally.

Mercurial123 · 07/07/2023 10:35

Kate is phenomenal, most of you are so jealous and it really shows.

That's such an unimaginative comment. Something a child would say in the playground. She's not phenomenal. She wears a nice dress and rocks up to opening a hospital etc. What's there to be jealous of? There are many beautiful people. I'm not jealous of any of them.

I'm sure she feels very emotionally impoverished when she's in front row seats at Wimbledon, playing tennis with Roger Federer, thinking up her next charity project, enjoying a slew of beauty treatments, holidaying in Mustique, spending loads of time with her kids etc 🙄 yes she's in the public eye a lot but it doesn't seem to bother her, she's never struck me as someone who's really wanted to 'make a difference' in an unconventional sense, and all the material things she has access to undoubtedly make her life a lot cushier. It wouldn't be the job for me but the hyperbolic 'what a miserable existence' sentiments from some people on here are utterly bizarre.

So depressing. Her worth was only in the value of the man she could marry. I hope her daughter has better prospects for her own independence in the future but it’s doubtful. The media will start creeping on her as soon as she’s a teenager, gross behaviour.
