To think Kate is truly picture perfect

I mean - who looks that good in all their photos. She’s just so beautiful and incredibly photogenic! Not to mention extremely good at tennis, all other sports and everything else in between. William could not have chosen a better wire!

The Princess of Wales, 41, was cheering on the Prince, 41, as he took part in the Out-Sourcing Inc. Royal Charity Polo Cup 2023 at the Guards Polo Club in Windsor this afternoon.

Not in my opinion.Maya Jama is picture perfect though.

KimberleyClark · 07/07/2023 10:48

She is attractive and well groomed but I don’t think she’s a beauty. She’s too bland.

I'm sure she feels very emotionally impoverished when she's in front row seats at Wimbledon, playing tennis with Roger Federer, thinking up her next charity project, enjoying a slew of beauty treatments, holidaying in Mustique, spending loads of time with her kids etc 🙄 yes she's in the public eye a lot but it doesn't seem to bother her, she's never struck me as someone who's really wanted to 'make a difference' in an unconventional sense, and all the material things she has access to undoubtedly make her life a lot cushier. It wouldn't be the job for me but the hyperbolic 'what a miserable existence' sentiments from some people on here are utterly bizarre.

I know! I find it hilarious when posters say they'd hate her life and they feel sorry for her. I reckon she's as happy as a pig in shit.

Husband and three lovely children
Close family
Beautiful homes
Lovely holidays
No money worries
No day to day chores to get you down. No worries about getting her kids into a half decent school, no worries about getting her kids a gp appointment.
Knows her kids are set for life financially.

overitunderit · 07/07/2023 10:53

She makes me swoon too OP. She's just lovely!

BillyNoM8s · 07/07/2023 10:55

She's very slim, which generally makes clothes hang better. She has her hair styled and her remake up done. Teeth straight and whitened. Probably gets enough sleep. Doesn't have to worry about the house work or school runs. Presumably pays someone to do the boring life admin. Probably has a personal trainer and someone cooking all her meals and doing the food shop.

She's elocutioned away her true voice and learned to play her part very well.

She does her job well.

I don't think she's stunning. She just looks after herself and has time.

I'd look great if life was laid out ready for me to slip into effortlessly every day.

BillyNoM8s · 07/07/2023 10:56

Makeup. I hate my auto correct 🙄

IronCurtain · 07/07/2023 10:57

yet another thread designed to put women down, specifically women in the RF.

If she’s thin - she’s too thin.
If she’s laughing - it’s fake
If she’s not doing engagements - she’s lazy
If she’s doing lots of engagements - it’s all PR
If she’s dressed modestly - she’s frumpy (or, 😱 middle-aged)
If she’s dressed more provocatively - it’s vulgar
She can’t be a good mother because clearly outsources her kids to her nanny. She can’t be happy with her life because she’s just a clothes horse. She can’t be genuinely interested in her projects because it’s all fake. She can’t be complimented because it’s all sycophantic fawning by DM reading ‘old’ royalists.

I’m sure I missed a few.

But my absolute favourite is from so-called feminists lamenting she’s no great role model for young girls.

Do you walk through life with the purpose of being someone’s role model? And you think that translates that to…what? Career accolades? ‘Success’? Have you completely misunderstood feminism?

gabbyaggy · 07/07/2023 11:00

Can't imagine the pressure she's under from the firm. Gorgeous woman though.

Rosietheravisher · 07/07/2023 11:01

Brefugee · 07/07/2023 09:26

I wonder why she is so thin.

if i had people constantly looking at me and taking photos of me I'd be thin too.

But not that thin, surely?

For her height you probably have to eat very little to maintain that. And for those who think we're all jealous of her. I don't think many young mums are jealous of Kate per se, but I think they may well be jealous of all the help/staff at her disposal as they juggle roles and struggle to balance the books as their mortgages inflate during a cost of living crisis. Nothing else to be jealous about.

CurlewKate · 07/07/2023 11:01

@IronCurtain "But my absolute favourite is from so-called feminists lamenting she’s no great role model for young girls.

Do you walk through life with the purpose of being someone’s role model?"

Actually, yes, I do in the right circumstances. And if I had a job like hers, damn right I would!

AlecTrevelyan006 · 07/07/2023 11:02

i like her. She seems pretty cool

Keykat · 07/07/2023 11:02

She is who she is, and it's her role/job. That's it really and my only comment as someone who is many years older than her is that most of her dresses are old fashioned high necked far too long atrocities! So there, I wouldn't be seen dead in most of them.

😆 🤣 😂 😹

narrowmindedbigot · 07/07/2023 11:03

too thin and drawn imo

Nousernamesleftatall · 07/07/2023 11:03

No. I don’t think she is beautiful at all. She looks well presented but I always found her clothes quite frumpy for her age.

Brefugee · 07/07/2023 11:04

the80sweregreat · 07/07/2023 10:11

She is very attractive
If she hadn't met her husband I'm sure she would have been like Pippa and married a wealthy banker / stock broker type.

I am completely convinced that she wanted to land that prince and took all the necessary steps to achieve that.

That is not a criticism.

But despite all the "guilded cage" stuff - i think she has a pretty fantastic cushy life and i would take it on at the drop of a hat. Never having to choose between heating and eating? never having to work stupid overtime because it's the half-year closing and the sales team haven't delivered the figures? Not having to worry about looking after my elderly parents? can have any number of pets? all the clothes you can shake a stick at?

In exchange for a few photo ops and small talk over a spectacular dinner? Yep. Where do i sign up?

Dotjones · 07/07/2023 11:04

She's perfect yes. Her perfection is amplified by the flaws of many of the women who've married prominent royals over the last 42 years.

Nordicrain · 07/07/2023 11:04

Its funny though, my dad was a diplomat and once had a state visit in out of the countries he was station in by Kate's equivalent in the royal family of my native country. By all accounts she was lovely, but he said she was ACCUTELY aware of cameras and angles etc. He said when the press, or anyone else with a camera was nearby she would constantly position herself for the post flattering pictures. You'd never know by looking at the pictures, but he said it was clearly something she had been trained to an inch of her life in, looking good in pictures.

DewinDwl · 07/07/2023 11:05

The thing that depresses me is how restrictive her role seems to be. There is no need for it. Think about people like queen Maxima in the Netherlands and Letizia in Spain - they had great professional careers in competitive fields before they even met their spouses. I realise the fair comparison with be with Camilla but that's a whole other thread.

In that respect Maxima and Letizia truly are someone to look up to. They are also true modern ambassadors for their country - for example showcasing young designers etc. Kate's outfits are often not only old-fashioned but old for her age to the point of sometimes making her look really odd.

In comparison to other monarchies the role Kate is allowed to play seems practically Victorian, bland and irrelevant to people's lives to the point of absurdity. IMO Kate's role could be an engine to modernise the monarchy but they are so out of touch they don't realise. One of the RM's many mistakes - bring on the republic!

Are you her PR people?
I mean she looks great and is attractive. But she’s just a person. And No one is perfect and not should she need to be.

Thepeopleversuswork · 07/07/2023 11:07

Migrainehaterforlife · 07/07/2023 09:02

Kate is phenomenal, most of you are so jealous and it really shows.

I think assuming that any criticism or observation of a person in the public eye must automatically be due to jealousy is a very simplistic way to look at the world. The world is much more complicated than this.

She has everything material that you could ask for life and gets access to a lot of interesting people etc, so there are obvious advantages to her life which barely need spelling out. But she lives in a gilded cage and cannot do anything that ordinary people could do without a huge amount of negative scrutiny.

I have a grudging respect for her because of her ruthless competence and I think she does a horrendous job very well and with grace and toughness. I have no problem with her as an individual whatsoever.

But I do think its problematic that she is held up as a role model. Whatever else she is in life (and with recognition of how well she does her job), a woman who is paid extremely well to be a silent, blank canvas whose every breathing moment is choreographed and restricted, should not be a role model for other women.

malificent7 · 07/07/2023 11:08

I think she's very happy personally. She looks great. It's all very well doing a "meaningful" job e.g NHS like I do but i'm not going to lie...I would swap!

Brefugee · 07/07/2023 11:13

Kate is phenomenal, most of you are so jealous and it really shows.

hahahahahahaha. Nope. But thanks for the laugh. She is a perfectly bland Fiona Sloane (that we had in the 80s, i had/have several among my friends and family) who are good at what they do: being a Fiona Sloane. Good hostesses, look lovely, support their husbands Big Job (with fat salary) and produce lovely well mannered children to feed into the Sloaney Feedback Loop.

The very idea that the PoW can influence decision makers into funding, say, early years - especially after the government has cut it to the bone, sticks in the throat. It should be taken as read that a country invests in its population and gives a helping hand where it is required. It shouldn't take a fairly bland lady in a nice frock and a hat to give it impetus.

But jealous of her? I'm sure she could get good seats for events or whatever by asking the right person. So yes, that makes me a tad envious (i did get sore knees at a recent Springsteen gig, i would have enjoyed it from the padded seats with the rest of the prawn sandwich brigade too.

But jealous? Nope. Not now, not ever. Not of any of them (outside of i hate working for a living and would like to swan around with fawning lackeys tending to my every need treating me as though i farted glittery rainbows)

BartholemewHolmes · 07/07/2023 11:20

Made me laugh just the audacious aspect. Although I do think she looks good.

It’s another good line to get people going. Mnhq appreciates it ;

ididntwanttodoit · 07/07/2023 11:21

She is not especially pretty. She is ridiculously thin. She wears boring clothes, and has a team to help put her together.
