To think Kate is truly picture perfect

I mean - who looks that good in all their photos. She’s just so beautiful and incredibly photogenic! Not to mention extremely good at tennis, all other sports and everything else in between. William could not have chosen a better wire!

Kate is every inch the proud wife to support William at polo match

The Princess of Wales, 41, was cheering on the Prince, 41, as he took part in the Out-Sourcing Inc. Royal Charity Polo Cup 2023 at the Guards Polo Club in Windsor this afternoon.

cauldron of spite indeed.
A woman is allowed to dress as she sees fit and she is also allowed to keep her opinions to herself, and her private life private. I think that should be ok.

Kate’s a real plain Jane who you wouldn’t look twice at if she wasn’t married to Bill.

There’s no help for 90% of the female population if she’s plain.

ArcaneWireless · 07/07/2023 21:24

Ah maireas - I think you misread my cauldron contents…

Both work though.

Maireas · 07/07/2023 21:24

She's not "plain". Even if she was, it's not a crime.

I don’t think the intention was to make you cowk butchy

Not unless it involved giving you a helping hand with their long handled stirring spoon fiddling with your gag reflex … 😉

Difference of opinion on what makes someone phenomenal I suppose. In my view phenomenal is making the absolute best of oneself as she has. She didn't pick the circumstances she was born into but has made fantastic decisions and ultimately is leading a good life because of it. Her beauty isn't just skin deep although she is naturally stunning, she presents herself wonderfully and has a glow about her. I don't know how I'd cope if I was a spectacle for everyone, even other women to oggle at and judge, she could be out in public at a public engagement event, have her photo taken and then it get ripped apart by other women in forums like this. I'd have crumbled by now and she hasn't, which for a sensitive soul like me who can't stand bitchiness is phenomenal, I aspire to be like her & I think she's fantastic. I equally don't value the idea of, or admire women who think you have to have controversial opinions, lead a troubled life or in some way battle through it and put down others to be phenomenal. You also don't have to struggle or achieve something huge to be phenomenal, but I know some people do think phenomenal means this and that's fine just so long as it isn't a comparison to mock women who are happily existing for doing so. It shouldn't be a competition.

Fair enough if that's what you think. I don't throw out the word phenomenal often, for me that means women like Maya Angelou and Emmeline Pankhurst. Just living life isn't phenomenal to me.

Skirt malfunction happened what, twice? She's been photographed wearing a bikini while on holiday - intrusive paparazzi shots, not 'posing', not 'many occasions'. Misogyny at its finest. Well done you.

I like how you are happily confusing the paps shots of her topless, and the photos of her posing on holiday. If she was ok to pose for the paps, why does it bother YOU?

The wardrobe malfunctions were every week. You couldn't buy a magazine without yet another photo of her. The foreign press was having a big laugh about it.

Misogyny to point out that it was not appropriate during official engagements? ok then. If it makes you feel better

have you been in an art gallery recently by any chance?

Scarfweather · 07/07/2023 21:56

I’d really hate having to live such a public life, including all of the safety threats she and her family must receive. It must take a lot of mental strength. I mean, the rewards are good and you’ll be forever remembered in history books, but still…..
I think she’s beautiful, but clearly does a LOT of exercise to counter the pressure. It’s also very clear that she keeps her diet very, very controlled to the point of skinniness, dare I suggest, eating disorder. I feel sorry for her.

We saw this type of skinniness with Diana.

Nogbadthebad · 07/07/2023 21:56

'I like how you are happily confusing the paps shots of her topless, and the photos of her posing on holiday.'

I'm not confusing anything. You're making accusations of Kate posing for paparazzi in a wet bikini which is untrue. You wrote about flashing her arse weekly which is also untrue.

feel free to google it, the photos are still around.

To Google what?

CinnamonJellyBeans · 07/07/2023 22:08

She must feel very stifled at times. It's not an easy role.

I do think she is very beautiful and elegant.

Haha no, I know what you're referring to and it's just bitchy women I can't abide. Sick of threads like this, it makes women look so bad

'Kate is phenomenal, she's classy, beautiful, educated and drama free despite the constant nastiness and criticism following her around as shown on this thread. To me that is a role model.'

It's peculiar to me that a grown woman would even have a 'role model'.

Young women and girls do. And I do think that women in the public eye should consider what effect their public lives have on them.

artist, scientist, athletes, politician...

I can think of many role models even for grown women. Someone who might be perfectly nice, but is only know for being very slim and not be sulky in public,I am not so sure.
There must be some royal "aura" for some people, I don't see it 😂

It's just as bad as the gushing about people they don't know but have seen 2 photos of in the press,

the wonderful children and amazing family - they are fine, but they are just children that you are not related to, there are as many cute children as there are screeching brats around,

the kind, smiling and caring Kate - she's hardly going to be sulking on official engagements, or laugh at your face when she's shaking your hand,

William, so involved - he's only paid to pretend he cares, and the monarchy is not too fragile, only his grand-father could get away with making a few snarky comments

It's rather sad how the idea of "royalty" is transforming normal and average people into something else in some of the fans mind. If Kate was not married to a Windsor, people would have completely different reaction to her. Weird.
