I need your help with sneaky DH

Took rings off last night left on side of the kitchen sink.
Came down from work and engagement ring has disappeared....mild panic.

Sneaky DH has hidden the ring. I've feigned disinterest but the stakes are high - we now have a game and I have all morning to find it.

All I've been told is it's somewhere in the kitchen. I've had most of the cupboards out and looked in all the glasses etc.

We have young DC so it's nowhere they would be able to find it.

All very petty and I was on the verge of texting for a clue....

I just can't get over his smug face coming and showing me where it was. It will be somewhere obvious I know it.

AIBU to ask for any suggestions? Please help - I need a win today

Do you have an aloe vera plant on the windowsill? Safety > first aid > burn treatment - v. tenuous.

It's actually made me quite sad, this is absolutely something DH would do and we would have probably days of fun escalating what and where we hid stuff.

It's sad that so many relationships are so awful that people immediately see control and manipulation in others.

OP try behind or under the microwave, or on any hooks for tea towels etc if you have them?

Agree with you that it will be somewhere obvious ands the smugness will be unbearable!

Sorry I don't actually own an oven glove. Trusty tea towel here.

Also I did check the magnetic lock thing. I think I'm focusing more on the key part. But checked all keys in the room and we don't have any corned beef.

I found mine in the rim of the washing machine the other day - I assume I'd taken it off to do the dishes, put it my cardi pocket them completely forgot.

No step ladder or step as sprogs are climbers. I am using a BJ stool to teeter about on. He's going to be mortified when he realises the amount I've looked. I'm normally great at this game.

It’s not my idea of a good time but I could tell by OPs posts they were in on the game and found it a bit of fun. Not sure why people are being so negative about it really.

Don't have a first aid kit mainly just boxes of things in the medicine cupboard.

I checked rubber gloves.

No spare key.

No hooks for tea towels.

@SorryForTheRant I saw something glint under the microwave earlier but was just a foot.

Stand looking at where the ring was and then turn slowly round, scanning the room and thinking like a sneaky arse.

Do you have a fire blanket on the wall or anywhere? Could be around there. or seeing as you’re renovating the kitchen, is there anything safety related there?

Not big. Which is why it's annoying me. Lot of shit in the cupboards though. But gone through all the main bits.
