I need your help with sneaky DH

Took rings off last night left on side of the kitchen sink.
Came down from work and engagement ring has disappeared....mild panic.

Sneaky DH has hidden the ring. I've feigned disinterest but the stakes are high - we now have a game and I have all morning to find it.

All I've been told is it's somewhere in the kitchen. I've had most of the cupboards out and looked in all the glasses etc.

We have young DC so it's nowhere they would be able to find it.

All very petty and I was on the verge of texting for a clue....

I just can't get over his smug face coming and showing me where it was. It will be somewhere obvious I know it.

There was a lovely thread a few years ago about a MNer and DH hiding a plastic raven from each other.
Things have changed so much here that something lighthearted can't just be scrolled past by those who don't approve.

Nothing on door frames, light fittings. Haven't got a calender hook. But did check the bib one!

Well at least his wife also seems to think it’s funny and joining in so at least they’re not inflicting their annoying humour on partners who’d find it puerile. @Lacucuracha ”tradwife” is typically an insult used to describe women who take on a traditional role of housewife, raise the kids and do all the “traditional” tasks of womanhood. Though you did get the insult wrong, the term you’re looking for (for a woman that finds her husband funny) is “cool wife”. At least learn your insults before using them.

I can see the humour in that though. It’s a specific non-value item they have which they hide for the other to find. I could play along with that. It’s a running theme. Hiding random things like an engagement ring does not have the same light hearted fun about it to me (or someone’s car pretending it’s stolen!). Hiding a plastic raven seems more fun and innocent than an engagement ring or any other personal thing you might just have placed down somewhere.
