I distinctly remember doing history at university and a module on women studies in media and I did some politics modules. Not once did we discuss 72 genders which now seems something of a massive oversight.

Wow people cannot argue here. I did not compare nazi views to GC views, I did clarify that as a teacher I am well within my rights to call a view despicable. A previous poster suggested it was unprofessional of a teacher to ever do so.

The teacher is in a position of authority. She abused that authority. It is absolutely fair that this was recorded, as otherwise the students would almost certainly have been disbelieved and accused of lying. It a police officer was caught abusing their powers would you defend them?

That's what the recorded teacher thought too Perfect - that she was OK to sneer at her students and called their views despicable. An interesting approach to working with young people (speaking as a teacher who has worked with openly racist pupils, children who support Al qaeda, children who are sex offenders, muggers etc).

You are within your rights to call a view despicable, but you better be fairly confident that most people will agree with you or all hell might break out and that could have serious consequences for you.
