No sympathy. You don't rant at children and call them 'despicable'.

Instead of handling the girls' behaviour in a professsional manner this teacher lost her sh*t, and resorted to threats and insults.

Maybe those girls ARE known bullies at this school. But the way to deal with that is calmly, rationally, and within clear protocols. You can't cure bullying with more bullying.

HoofWankingSpangleCunt · 19/06/2023 14:04

If you speak to children in the manner in which this teacher did you should find a different profession.

And that is even before we get onto the bonkers notion that there are 3 sexes etc etc.

Ive met many teachers like this over the years. All were in positions of authority that they were abusing .

These girls were absolutely right to whistle blow in this situation.

Bullying adults should not be in schools. Full stop.

Perfect28 · 19/06/2023 14:07

@Cailin66 given that you can be intersex, yes training is needed.

They were laughing as they left, it’s on the recording. They were laughing saying they’d caught it all on film.

laughing is NOT the same as ‘wetting themselves’, that is being unable to control their bladders. You are coming dangerously near to insulting these children.

To feel sorry for the teacher who was secretly recorded?
Ameanstreakamilewide · 19/06/2023 14:11

Without Queer Theory and the Rainbow Gestapo rotting this teacher's brain, there's no way she would have championed this 10 years ago.

So she knows damn well it's a load of old arse, and she's free to believe in it - in her own time.
But she's not free to aggressively insist that the rest of us do.

MrsOvertonsWindow · 19/06/2023 14:13

Bullying adults should not be in schools. Full stop.

Agreed HoofWankingSpangleCunt. In my experience bullying teachers were generally weak individuals - struggling with behaviour etc. I suspect this teacher is the opposite and quite skilled.
What is does show (imho) is how a regressive ideology that enables a secondary pupil to self identify as a cat inevitably turns people into bullies. There's no ethical position, no logic or rationale to support this - so all you can do is intimidate children out of their logical objections. Just as the population are being bullied into accepting that some women have a penis, so children are bullied into accepting that some girls have magically turned into cats.

Lifescary · 19/06/2023 14:14

Lots, well some, people are saying that the teacher shouldn't have been secretly recorded, but can anyone explain why. Please.

I would rather not be told that it is because it is illegal or against school rules etc. I would like to be told why people think it should be illegal or against school rules etc.

Oblomov23 · 19/06/2023 14:15

Not one iota of sympathy. Yes she probably shouldn't have been recorded. Yes Governmental guidelines are lacking. But what she says shows her personal true opinions, hers alone, not what her Head-Teacher or HoD has instructed her is that school's policy. 3 sexes? FFS. We can't have that kind of nonsense being allowed to be taught in schools.

FourTeaFallOut · 19/06/2023 14:16

Because then the idea that this never happens in school and that children and parents are lying begins to look like the bullshit it is.

MsRosley · 19/06/2023 14:17

No kid should be mean to another, but imagine if you had to deal with a colleague who was pretending to be a cat at work. How would you feel? Pissed off? Even a little scared? Why do we think it's okay that kids have to deal with this stuff in the classroom? Even worse, they're expected to affirm it. No wonder these girls are fed up.

Oblomov23 · 19/06/2023 14:18

🐱 miaow are you a cat? Grin

BoohooWoohoo · 19/06/2023 14:19

Now people are assuming that the girls are bullies ? This is why they recorded the conversation.

Maybe they recorded it because they knew that they wouldn't be believed without proof? Maybe they complained about this teacher but nothing happened because it was considered hearsay? How many people wouldn't laugh at being told that being a cat is a gender identity? How many people don't think that CatGirl is unwell?

The girls should have been told not to humiliate Catgirl in class (it sounds like she was there) but by affirming this cat business the school is making her an object of ridicule.

Oblomov23 · 19/06/2023 14:20

Today I identify as a hula-hoop. Yesterday I was a nik-nak.

BCCoach · 19/06/2023 14:20

Bathsheba1983 · 19/06/2023 13:25

@BCCoach @PowerTulle you clearly have no understanding of schools.
So you say it’s ok for students to covertly record conversations with teachers…
-what about ‘cat girl’. Her privacy needs to be protected. Don’t think for one second that the pupils at this school don’t know who this is and aren’t laughing at her.
-what if cat girl is very vulnerable. The girls doing the recording have said she should be in an asylum (allegedly) and are on record saying she is mentally very unwell. Those are horrible things to be out there online about you, imagine how she must feel.
-conversations in the background - recordings might catch something that needs to remain confidential/safeguarding etc.

i could go on. It is totally unacceptable to do this to a teacher and to then put it online.

as I said, I disagree 100% with what the teacher said, and I think she handled the whole thing poorly. But she doesn’t deserve this.

Schools do not exist outside the framework of laws. Whistleblowing in a school is no different to whistleblowing in any other institution and teachers who abuse their positions should not be protected from being exposed. Yea, I think it is fine for pupils to record their teachers, and indeed for anyone to record anyone in a position of authority, for the purposes of exposing abuses of power.

why do you think schools should be exempt from the protections afforded to whistleblowers?

RedToothBrush · 19/06/2023 14:25

noblegiraffe · 19/06/2023 14:10

Is English not your first language?

So you can be politically incorrect over incontinence issues but to talk about biological sex and what a girl or boy is, is off limit on the basis of belief and not potentially upsetting others who may have a problem. Talk about being crazy and you've immediately suggested that someone should be in an asylum.

Noblegiraffe, genuinely I struggle with your double standards and the fact you defend all teachers on everything citing recruitment as the issue to hide behind. It does make me just feel that you are on a mission to alienate rather than standing up for teachers. Its become a Them v Us scenario with teachers as perpetual victims - and so any criticism at all is taken as attacking The Profession rather than individual or a crazed instititional level irrationality sanctioned by government. And you'd lost sight of the difference and where making it all about Teacher V The Rest of The World undermines your position and the support you have.

The other poster is being OTT, but equally you being this rude and shoving culture down their face in retort on this particular point I find just spectactular. It just grates that you'll stand up for that, but aren't condemming the lunacy of this case and just say 'oh the system made them do it'.

It just again, highlights the point of how much we've lost our minds over biology and being polite and over sensitive and how actually WE ALL should be standing up to this noise rather than hiding behind comments like mortgages and recruitment crisis.

Oblomov23 · 19/06/2023 14:26

Those 2 girls never would've been believed without the recording. Good for them, I'm really glad they did.

I thought quite a lot of people with DSDs find the term "intersex" offensive and would rather it wasn't used. And have also asked for their medical conditions not to be weaponised in the trans debate, which has nothing to do with them.

Yes. An ideology that is incoherent and based on whiffle and purely faith-based assertions can only be maintained through coercion, bullying, threat, abuse and shaming. So this is the mechanism by which 'gender' ideology has been implemented. It means that people who want to use it as a vehicle to bully or abuse find it a ready-made framework for doing so.

Those 2 girls never would've been believed without the recording.

Exactly; just as the students in Canada had to get photos of the teacher wearing enormous prosthetic breasts to get anything done about it because the school refused to challenge him.

People close ranks. The students have no say

All they get is sanctions

they have but like with all things TRA are deaf to people who say no

Totorosfluffytummy · 19/06/2023 14:35

Absolutely no sympathy for the teacher. She's a bully TRA. She abused her position and should be sacked.
I feel sorry for the girls having been put in this situation.
I have dealt with teachers at my DD's school. Bully TRAs are bad but just as bad are the teachers who don't speak their mind but join in to "keep the peace" while children are harmed by gender ID ideology.
