To sneak alcohol into a concert ?

Going to a concert tonight in a large stadium
Prices are extortionate
Your looking at £10 for a gin
I have a foldable wine bottle holder which I plan on putting gin in and putting it in back of jeans
Buying lemonade from inside with a glass than adding my own gin
Would you do it ?

I went to a festival a few weeks ago and cans of water started at 4.80 I don't blame you at all

No clue, but to be fair there was no rationale behind any of it.

there were two entrances to the site, camping and day tickets. Day tickets, the entrance I was using, were having everything taken away from food to bottles of pop. Meanwhile those streaming in from the camping side were pulling trollies behind them full of picnics and booze. When I questioned this security just said they had ‘orders’. I stood and ate my twirl in protest before I went in 😂

I remember being at T in The Park … it was “no alcohol” in the arena, with searches. At the end of the day, all you could see littering the ground were empty large bottles of Buckfast(not sold at festival) … I still wonder how they got them in

We're on a long drive gone after a holiday and a friend had just posted the prices of the drinks at Parklife saying they should be ashamed.

Agree with a previous poster. It's profiteering.

We take all our own drinks and snacks to the theatre and yes that includes the odd can of g&t or mini fizz. If that makes me a scruff or an alcoholic so be it!

For festivals we also do pretty well at getting a bag of wine in.

Home bargains do drinks pouches that are perfect for this purpose.
I also like Smashed Grapes wine pouches which I have taken into arenas all over the uk (usually in my back jeans pockets.
When the MEN arena stops charging £29 for shitty wine, I'll stop sneaking my own nice wine in.

My thoughts exactly! Sneak in what you can, I always do. Plus, if you're in a good spot, you won't want to move to go to the bar.

I think venues bring this on themselves with prices that are 3x, 4x, 5x etc as much as they should be for food and drinks.

My Husband and I always put Sailor Jerry rum in the big Capri Sun pouches (the ones with the screw on lid) and put them in our underwear. No one would dare check your undercarriage! We then just buy Coke's (even a can of Coke was £2.50 at our most recent concert).

There's no way I'm paying £8 for a paper cup of watered down cider or £30 for a bottle of crap wine.

You certainly won't be the only one.

I'd probably try it on the grounds that if I'm unsuccessful the most likely scenario is they confiscate the drink but let me in.

I'm attending a festival this summer where I might be tempted to sneak some in because it's four days, however attended a gig last night and it cost me £46 for a round I was ok with that. Couple of pints in the sun and I was more than happy to enjoy the music. I'd say just do you and want you want to do. I won't even bother asking on MN because you'd be wrong regardless of what you do.

I’ve chopped off a leg and now walk on a better cooled lager keg. Worth the aggro.
