To stop dating him...

apairofjeanstharfitjustright · 03/06/2023 21:45

Been on four dates with a guy. He seemed great, was really attracted to him, good banter, both wanted the same things etc.

Tonight we were texting and he said,

'At my friends for the football, what are you doing? Should have gotten you round for the boys'

I said, 'what do you mean?'

And he said, 'would you like that? 😉😜'

I am disgusted but not sure if this is just flirty banter and I'm overreacting?

CheesePls · 03/06/2023 21:50

Block and move on

Salvadoral · 03/06/2023 21:50

Do you even need to ask, OP? 🤢

TakingTime2 · 03/06/2023 21:51

Absolutely not over reacting!

Temporaryname158 · 03/06/2023 21:51

There’s two ways I’d read it and both make him sound about 15!

one sounds like showing you off like a trophy, showing you to the boys

the other makes it sound like he’s offering some sort of gang bang!

honestly, what a turn off!

Aquamarine1029 · 03/06/2023 21:53

You would have to be absolutely insane or totally desperate to continue dating this creep. What he said honestly made my skin crawl.

YoSof · 03/06/2023 21:54

Yeah…put him in the bin.

KatieKline · 03/06/2023 21:56

🤮🤮 put him in the bin 🤮🤮

Same. There is no way I can read it that doesn't give me the ick.

Sorry, OP. Toss this one back.

Concur with the other responses. Some men make such comments to test your boundaries. If you don't have any, you accept this and that's when they know that 'anything goes'.

Loafbeginsat60 · 03/06/2023 22:03

Surely he meant to show his friends how lovely you are

Otherwise goodbye!

Unexpectedlysinglemum · 03/06/2023 22:11

Can't stand his choice of emojis either

FannyFifer · 03/06/2023 22:13

Good god. That would be an immediate block.

foxlover47 · 03/06/2023 22:13

It would be a huge no from me
What's it now
The ick
That's what I'd have

Tillyteacup · 03/06/2023 22:14

🗑

BadBarry · 03/06/2023 22:15

My face just winced.

Arightoldcarryabag · 03/06/2023 22:16

Looks really bad but could he mean to introduce you to all his mate and asking if you'd like to meet his friends, like move your lives closer together?

If it is how it seems, there's loads of decent blokes about, no need to give chances to people like that.

LittleSnowyOwl · 03/06/2023 22:20

That would definitely give me the ick! What a creepy thing to say!

Tilllly · 03/06/2023 22:28

Gross, creepy and a little bit scary

Flunkey · 03/06/2023 22:32

Do you think one of his mates has got hold of his phone and being a complete jerk?
I cant believe he could get through four dates if this is the kind of person he is with you noticing.

Flunkey · 03/06/2023 22:34
  • without you noticing
