To think Phillip schofield scandal is homophobia?

Have I missed something in that the guy Philip had the affair with was not a minor?

He was a minor when they met, as was Cheryl Cole and Liam Payne for example and no one has anything bad to say about that relationship.

I'm not sticking up for Philip and really dislike him, and also think even if the runner was above the age of consent is most definitely questionable behaviour but I can't help think of it was a heterosexual affair it would not be treated in the same way?

Oh FGS these posts are now just horrifically insensitive and sensationalist.

Not all abusers were abused.

Hand on, are you saying that they're gay because they were (you're assuming) abused?

Siblings who are both gay is hardly the most improbably thing in the world.

My friend and her sister (no other siblings) that are both gay.

It seems that it’s OK to doubt people’s sexuality based on random factors. How refreshing for gay people 🙄

I find this view incredibly offensive. I was abused, I’ve never abused anyone. I am however conscious if I tell people they will assume I will abuse people.
whilst statistics may show learnt behaviour can happen, it’s also offensive and detrimental to others seeking justice or support in dealing with their past.

No I said ‘SOME’

that is not a generalisation

do you think Schofield likes twinkes

So do SOME straight men. Still not sure why you’re singling out gay men about this.

It’s just SOME men. That’s all that needs to be said. Their sexuality is irrelevant.

Newnamenewname109870 · 09/06/2023 21:28

Yes he might be attracted to slim, young men instead of larger hairy men. Doesn’t seem weird to me at all that he was interested in a young 20 year old!

CrazyArmadilloLady · 09/06/2023 21:39

When you’re knocking 60 though, it’s pretty inappropriate.

I’m freely judgemental about that.

Gothambutnotahamster · 09/06/2023 23:45

I'm with you @CrazyArmadilloLady

100%

It's extremely inappropriate.
I think it's disgusting, whether the older person is gay or straight or man or woman.

FGS it’s a follow, not a snog. Plenty of people follow young people on social media.

Which adults follow young teenagers, they don’t know on Social media.

Where did I imply it was a song? It’s my opinion that it’s entirely inappropriate to be following children on social media, especially if you don’t know them.

You might be cool with men in their late 50s following your children or children you know on social media. That your opinion. Mine is that it’s inappropriate.

I think for celebrities, it’s a risk. More recently, even being perceived as doing something inappropriate can really damage your career. As we are seeing, here.

You think it’s fine. And that’s ok. But had PS not been following and interacting with him as an underage child, this story would have come and gone. So clearly, there is a risk to a celebrities career.

Just read that Elton is joining the bandwagon that this is homophobic. I do wonder whether Phil will now come up smelling of roses

I don’t think so, I think he’ll be the bad guy now,

which if as it looks likely that he groomed the boy, is totally justified.

It isn’t for a lot of women in long marriages.

They are separated and living apart. Where have you been?
