Mizzy (TikTok "prankster")

Are we allowed to talk about this young man's videos and the wider impact he may have on youth culture?

(Not sure as it involves ongoing legal issues, I believe?)

I don't live in London, nor do I watch TikTok, so the behavior of this young man, and the police's lack of action towards him, has really shocked me! How was he only arrested and fined AFTER becoming infamous online? How is asking a lone young woman if she "wants to die" seen as funny?

Given his notoriety, I'm worried he will lead to a load of copycats now Angry

@goldengooze I came here to say this. As a woman of Caribbean descent I know for a fact that an older Caribbean or African auntie or uncle would not hesitate to lay hands on him and so would a lot of the younger men in our community.
I feel like he's race baiting in a way by targeting white people and Jewish people because there's only a matter of time before he gets smacked by a white or Jewish person and then he'll cry racism and play the victim.

Yes exactly. I can see that happening if anyone retaliates, but this boy knows who to target. He knows not to mess with aunties, uncles or young men.

benkenobi · 29/05/2023 22:10

I call out a comment that generalises a whole continent. I then get called a silly playground name yet I'm now the one with misplaced ire.
"This place sometimes" indeed. I agree with that.

I cannot believe a bunch of white women have led me to defending this absolute menace of a boy who should not be terrorising people just going about their business but alas, just another day on mumset. You all enjoy while the thread lasts... Surely there must be a few more racist jokes to crack before the sun sets.

Your defending him is on you.

AnonyMenOhPee · 29/05/2023 22:39

I haven’t seen a single video of him intimidating, sorry, pranking a black man. There’s one video of him annoying a black woman by calling her mum - she tells him to fuck off and off he fucks. There’s one where he runs after a white man asking if he wants to die, then one of Mizzys mates runs to cut the man’s escape route off. The man throws his phone away, assuming he’s being mugged, which is obviously HILARIOUS. He gets in a white mans car and refuses to get out, asks white girls if they want to die. Walks into a white persons home and refuses to leave even when he finds out they’ve got children in the house. He’s deliberately baiting white people so when he gets attacked he can claim it’s because the person defending themself is racist.

He’s absolute scum.

TheHandmaiden · 29/05/2023 22:48

He's digging a big hole for himself. Strikes me as having a personality disorder.

dropthevipers · 29/05/2023 22:50

this won't end well. It would be tragic if one of his next "hilarious" stunts involved picking on some slip of a girl who happened to have a 5th dan black belt in something belligerent.

BellatrixLestrangesHeatedCurlers · 29/05/2023 22:51

He’ll be on the front page of a newspaper soon with a quote from a family member: “he was a good boy, he never hurt anyone”. Same old shit. Matter of time before he pisses off some nutter who carries a knife.

@Astralitzia The name is Swahili but don't let your xenophobia and racism get in the way of your tedious joke.

Get a grip!

Do you think it's reasonable that most people in the UK-with no connection to anything or anyone Swahili-should know that his name is Swahili? It could be anything or do you think that we should all be born with an innate knowledge of names from around the world? Do Europeans have to like all African names in order to avoid being called racist?

It does sound like Bicardi-like it or lump it. I'm quite sure there are plenty of European names in Africa that sound like something prevalent in their culture and that they would see the funny side of too.

Come to that, there's plenty of European names that Europeans find amusing too.

Still, in this case we can just call him Twat-much easier and much more appropriate.

Really? There are people wishing actual rape and death on this person on this thread but my pointing out his name is almost the same as Bacardi Breezer is the point the line is crossed?

IWantToVote · 30/05/2023 07:22

He is a nasty little shit. I can't understand why anyone would defend him or give him any excuses for his behaviour. He knows what he is doing but he doesn't care.

I don't get what more there is to discuss about him. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Lots and lots of criminals have mental health disorders.

TodayInahurry · 30/05/2023 07:37

I have seen him on social media, he is a nasty bully. Also he is racist if he targets white people. He also stole a woman’s dog. If I lived around his area I would always keep my door securely locked. He needs to be in prison away from people who want to get on with their lives. TicTok should be banned

Poppyblush · 30/05/2023 07:37

Wonder what his parents think….

FlyingFlipFlops · 30/05/2023 07:42

He’s a prize idiot. One day he’s going to prank the wrong person, it won’t be so funny then will it.

dawngreen · 30/05/2023 08:01

His single mother would not let him back home this time it said. He said that love or hate him, he gets money from it all the same. One paper said he had a difficult upbringing.

One thing's for certain. What happens on the internet lasts for a long time and it's one sure way to affect any future job prospects should an employer look you up online.

Oh was it a male? Blow, that's put me in my place then - he did do it to a man. (I shouldn't be allowed out without my keeper.)

I thought it was the girl too initially until I watched it again. Mizzy has still chosen his target very carefully though as he knows that young lad won't fight back. The three of them are clearly terrified of Mizzy. It's horrible to watch.

His mum is personally entitled to deal with it as privately as she wants. Her feelings aren't to be paraded all over social media as an expected event. The world's gone mad when it comes to social media! It's none of our business what his mum thinks says and does.

I'm surprised the media haven't tracked his mother down and asked her opinion tbh.

I had similar to this when I was getting money out when someone grabbed my purse and said ‘gimme that’ when I was putting my money away. I whirled round, grabbed my purse back and my fist was travelling before I saw it was one of the girls I worked with. I was furious but she went back to work and was telling everyone that ‘Wine nearly hit me at the cash point’ I was portrayed as the villain of the piece until I told them what she’d done. She got hauled in to our Head of Department who gave her a bollocking. She still maintained it was a ‘joke’.

There must be something about cash points. A new colleague who I thought was OK did that to me when I was 25. I was new in that job. I just reacted without thinking and she lost a front tooth. Blood running out of her mouth. I've always been a bit nervous of people coming right behind me who aren't family or lover/husband. She did agree that it was her own fault, and was always wary of me after that.

People should keep their doors securely locked whether Mizzy lives in their area or not. There are lots of people like him about - they were there before him and will be after him.

He's even 'safer' as he's playing a prank (🙄) for social media. Others like him may not be so 'safe', and will rob and harm for real.

One thing's for certain. What happens on the internet lasts for a long time and it's one sure way to affect any future job prospects should an employer look you up online.

Unless there's a huge behavioural change (miracle, treatment of any disorder, etc), social media stop paying people to do anything for views and people stop viewing - which is what brings the views and the money, I doubt having an employer would be on his radar.
