Went to my favourite cafe with my lovely dog for a relaxing Sunday morning brunch fry up.
All the tables were occupied, so we stood feeling a bit self-conscious waiting for about 20 minutes for a table to become free. In the meantime, a kind couple did ask if I wanted to share their table, but I didn’t want to disturb their relaxing morning so I said thanks for the offer but it’s ok.
So, eventually a table became free so I left my bag there to reserve it and went inside the cafe with the hound to order. When I was queuing up to order a woman asked if I had finished with my table so I said no I have just arrived. She then said are there many of you (obviously not) or can we share your table?
I said Sorry I have been waiting for a table and I would rather have it to myself.

The 55% vote in favour of the OP is only because many people voted after reading her first post ONLY, and have not read her drip feeding subsequent posts. (That verifies it was ONE person - her - at a SIX SEATER bench, refusing to let other paying customers use the bench she regarded as HERS!)

Many people don't realise they can change their vote. (eg @DixonD who just posted to say she voted YANBU and then changed her mind.) If everyone had read all the OP's posts and/or realised they could change their vote, I reckon the vote would be more like 70% against the OP. And not the 45% it is actually showing. Especially as WAY more posts disagree with her. The responses don't quite match up with the 'poll.'

So @ShirleyEyeRosebud stop patting yourself on the back, and blathering about how 'right' you are; it's embarrassing and cringeworthy. 55% of people on this thread do NOT agree with you because the silly 'poll result' says so. I am embarrassed for you that you actually believe this! 😬

I often do read in cafes and restaurants but only when there are free tables available. On this occasion I just enjoyed my meal and left. That’s how considerate I am 😊

The way the OP is congratulating herself for being soooo right and correct, 'because da poll result says so,' and YOU @AnarchoTyrannosaurus cheering her on has been the most cringeworthy and farcical and laughable part of this whole thread. The vast majority of posters have posted to say they disagree with the OP, yet you assume that more people support her 'because poll results...' 😆

As has been said, many people cannot VOTE because they are on the app. AND many people voted based on the OP's first post and not the subsequent dripfeeding add-ons. AND they don't realise they can change the vote.

No drip feeding involved. In fact, I probably did myself a disservice by saying that the picnic tables seat 6. As many other posters have said, 6 people would end up very well acquainted if they sat together on those benches
