Ok I know I've spelt her surname wrong... but here we are. We all know who I'm talking about!

I just don't understand why social media has turned on her, almost blaiming her for allowing Phillip S antics to go on?

Why is she responsible for his actions????

And for those saying "she must've known"... maybe she didn't! Maybe she kept out of it or maybe she didn't know the full one and puts.
Why so she being Blaine's. Am I missing something??!

I don't care what sex you are, if you are an enabler.

Harryyourenogoodalone · 27/05/2023 21:55

She knew. She's enabled the disgusting creep.

I am not sure , she would no it would affect her career plus she has young children ,allegedly everyone else believed him ? Perhaps she was just that stupid . If not he will be throwing her under a bus soon .

Bluebells1970 · 27/05/2023 22:09

There is an ocean between being gay and grooming young men.

I only hope that there is now a bright spotlight on those who enabled PS to hide in the shadows. And I'd include everyone at TM for this.

She didn't care, they went on holiday, had in jokes.
Her being a woman doesn't mean she's not capable of having a brain. And knowing something.

Backtothegym · 27/05/2023 22:11

I also am uncomfortable with the witch hunt against holly . I suspect some folks have just seen an opportunity to go after her and did. She asked him, he said no, she chose to believe it. They were close friends.

none of us know if she knew, so I think it’s unfair to go after her. yes we all knew, but if he was our close friend and he looked us in the eye and denied it, it’s all too easy to say we’d know better.

sparklefresh · 27/05/2023 22:11

Whatever a man does, it's always a woman who gets the blame somehow.

Florenz · 27/05/2023 22:13

Because her and Schofield came across as a friendly couple on TV people think they must have been best friends in real life, always spending time with each other, at each others houses etc. When in reality it's a job, they probably turned up to work, spoke briefly to each other before the show started, did their job, and then went home to do their own thing. The same as most TV presenter duos.

Florenz · 27/05/2023 22:15

The thing is, what Philip Schofield did isn't exactly unusual in the world of TV. The only unusual thing about it is that he was married to a woman and yet the young production assistant he was having an affair with was a man. And even that probably isn't that unusual.

RestingMurderousFace · 27/05/2023 22:15

myheadisspinningoutofcontrol · 27/05/2023 21:48

I wish people would leave her alone.

Don't blame a young woman for the sexual behaviours of a man!

What ‘young woman’???

Sigmama · 27/05/2023 22:17

No-ones blaming her, but if she knew then yes, she was part of the problem

NeedToThinkOfOne · 27/05/2023 22:17

although she needs to be left alone the focus should definitely be on him

Some might say the focus should no longer be on any of them…but trying saying that to the blood thirsty at the Daily Fail.

DoubleShotEspresso · 27/05/2023 21:15

So whilst I agree with you that HW is not responsible for the actions of her colleague, the plausibility of her having no knowledge is realistically nil.

Imagine your "best work colleague" was investigated by your employer, your colleagues are chatting about all the stuff that has been on twitter and the like for ages....... videos circulate which give some credence to the rumours.....

Imagine further two very established big name colleagues are let go because one makes a complaint regarding these rumours?

All of this coupled with the fact that HW and PS were both under the same talent agency (which he holds shares in and employs his daughter), the same agency who have arranged media mgt, legal support and hush money/arrangements.....? Holly parted company with them a year ago and pocketed a £million quid.... Why do you imagine that might be perchance?

She asked-he lied. In light of the above it would be at best naive of HW to genuinely believe this.

Does this make her culpable for his crimes/misdemeanours? No.

it does though reflect terribly upon her which is clearly why for some time now she has been removing ties with PS, it is clear she had knowledge along with many others. And yet, she remained and stayed for the ride-that I think is what so many are calling into question.

The most important question I think the majority here one all these threads is the fact that if PS admitted lying to all he did over this, the probability he did lie again to the court for his brother is high. Let that sink in......

This.

The whole pretense of innocence is astounding. HW is trying to save her own skin, rather than owning the situation.

GraysPapaya · 27/05/2023 22:22

A lot of people have come out this past month and said she’s a massive twat off screen. I dont know about her knowledge of schofield, but you should t treat people badly, no matter how famous you are.

Mirabai · 27/05/2023 22:25

How much does anyone know about what their work colleagues are doing in the privacy of their bedrooms? She will have heard all the rumours, she asked him directly, he lied. How likely is he to have told the truth in the circs? Even if she suspected it wasn’t true what proof would she have? What choice does she have but to carry on? Unless you think a woman should resign and lose her job over a man’s possible affair.

Mirabai · 27/05/2023 22:26

GoOnHoliday · 27/05/2023 22:06

I don't care what sex you are, if you are an enabler.

What has she actually enabled?

CantFindTheBeat · 27/05/2023 22:28

sparklefresh · 27/05/2023 22:11

Whatever a man does, it's always a woman who gets the blame somehow.

In this instance..

PS is getting 'the blame'

Anyone who enabled him, whilst profiting from the silence, is getting put under the spotlight.

And rightly so. HW and any of the PS supporters and/or apologists can be instantly replaced, in my opinion.

SamW98 · 27/05/2023 22:29

There’s only one person to blame and that’s PS himself. However it seems that there’s quite a few who either knew what he was doing and turned a blind eye or chose to stand by him.
The ones who seem to have spoken out - Ruth, Eamon, Rylan, Dr Raj - all found themselves thrown under a bus by ITV to protect their golden grooming goose.

SO no it’s not HW that’s to blame but she seems to have chosen looking after number one and turning a blind eye.

I definitely think there’s more to come out though as HW seems to have done a shift over last few weeks and there’s some big old tea the DM are desperate to spill

RightWhereYouLeftMe · 27/05/2023 22:32

I don't blame her, but her statement today about only just finding out is clearly absolute bullshit.

Farmageddon · 27/05/2023 22:33

RudsyFarmer · 27/05/2023 21:17

But I’d it illegal or are we morally outraged?

The thing you seem to be forgetting is that to be the public face of morning television you have to be squeaky clean and stay out of trouble.

This Morning projects an image of wholesome and family friendly, and the presenters need to fit in with that. You doesn't have to do anything illegal or even immoral to get you sacked from morning or kids tv if your audience no longer find you acceptable.

If he was a rockstar or something, most people wouldn't give a shit.

Farmageddon · 27/05/2023 22:34

*don't

DrMarciaFieldstone · 27/05/2023 22:35

Well, I knew, thanks to Twitter. Does she honestly think she can pretend she didn’t?

She had plenty of time to say something, but she’s waited until now. Operation save her own skin

WeAreTheHeroes · 27/05/2023 22:36

It sounds to me as though PS groomed a kid who wanted to work in TV. Holly is nearly 20 years his junior. Imho he's effectively groomed her too, knowing how much hinged on their onscreen relationship. It's not fair to blame her. Imo those higher up in ITV must have known.

Unlike the BBC, which has to publish what it pays its top talent, we have no idea what ITV pays its. PS will have been one of the highest paid and given that it's commercial TV, he probably earned a damn sight more than Lineker on the Beeb. This is hugely damaging for ITV and I don't think the fall out ends here.

RudsyFarmer · 27/05/2023 22:38

I never watch daytime TV do perhaps im
just not invested. I honestly couldn’t care less unless of course he’s broken the law and then I’d like all the correct legal channels to be followed.

justasking111 · 27/05/2023 22:39

I read the CEO of ITV was pretty ruthless at crushing anything and anyone that might damage the brand.
Carol Mcgiffin said recently that she was given a contract for Loose Women for the first time that made it clear her days were numbered. She wasn't the only one by a long mile I suspect.

Oops bet there's some rending of garment's in government this weekend

Dame Carolyn McCall appointed to the Levelling Up Advisory Council

Dame Carolyn McCall, chief executive of ITV plc, has been appointed as a member of the government’s Levelling Up Advisory Council.

There's a difference between saying she's responsible for him or his actions; and saying she probably knew and kept quiet because her job was more important to her than anything else.
PS , and PS alone, is responsible for his actions.
HW was not just a colleague but a friend - they both said on numerous occasions. They holidayed together. Considering people on MN and in the media and on This Morning knew about all this for years, it isn't believable that she didn't know. She'd have been better continuing her policy of saying nothing.
