Ok I know I've spelt her surname wrong... but here we are. We all know who I'm talking about!

I just don't understand why social media has turned on her, almost blaiming her for allowing Phillip S antics to go on?

Why is she responsible for his actions????

And for those saying "she must've known"... maybe she didn't! Maybe she kept out of it or maybe she didn't know the full one and puts.
Why so she being Blaine's. Am I missing something??!

The shit is really hitting the fan for PS today.... the DM are really going to town with what they've wanted to print for weeks.

I can't believe that anyone is defending a man that now appears to have groomed a then 15 year old and 12 year old. Shame on you.

Inkanta · 28/05/2023 08:25

Yes I see the shit has hit the fan this morning with this exclusive in the Mail. Also Holly apparently says he 'lied' to her when she asked him about the rumours going round about him and the lad.

Am I missing something??!

You know, I think you might be. Can't quite put my finger on what though.

Certainly got me puzzled . . . 🤔

It's a mystery.

It's the Daily Mail though that are saying this, you know the paper that MN doesn't read.

And even if she did? So whet? She should have done what? Refused to go on air with him while the studio and the TV bosses covered it all up. She should have sacrificed her career? Well she did … so duck off everyone who wants to drag a women down for a man’s she’s not even married to actions.

You seem a bit too emotionally involved.

Stellawella · 28/05/2023 08:36

I do feel a bit for HW. If she’d asked and ITV apparently investigated and it was found to be false allegations back then, what was she supposed to do? Resign? Resign for what? I think it’s clear that over the last 3 weeks, lies have become apparent and she’s walked away, her body language has spoken volumes on the last few airings of TM they presented.

1AngelicFruitCake · 28/05/2023 08:43

I met a friend of a friend 7 years ago. She said that she worked at ITV and Philip Schofield was gay and it was an open secret. This was 2016. I think he’s being hung out to dry but surely the bosses who knew what was going on should be held accountable for turning a blind eye.

billysboy · 28/05/2023 08:44

as usual no one will be held fully accountable despite knowledge of what was going on and enabling PS to carry on

Anactor · 28/05/2023 08:46

It’s misogyny 101.

In any incident involving a man and a woman, some way will be found to blame the woman. Even if it’s completely obvious the man is more culpable.

See Saville, Rotherham etc where the female victims had made a ‘lifestyle choice’ and so were blamed for the men’s crimes.

I guarantee that if the alleged victim had been a girl who was allegedly groomed, there would currently be a massive focus on her ‘leading him on to get a TV job’. But they were male, so the focus has moved to the ( female) co-presenter who ‘must have known’.

The focus should be on Schofield, and the organisation which is involved in an alleged safeguarding fail of massive proportions. Not whether one woman accepted the assurances of a co-worker.

User1529865 · 28/05/2023 08:47

I'm sure most on here wouldn't resign their jobs or put them at risk in this situation, it's for the bosses and HR people to sort out and be held accountable and take blame

Inkanta · 28/05/2023 08:48

If Holly is saying that he 'lied' to her about it then she's finally saying something negative about him.

Greengreengrass231 · 28/05/2023 08:49

They should give the gig to Ruth and eamon

anotherside · 28/05/2023 08:49

Is lying about a personal and private matter suddenly a crime now? Do our bosses and colleagues have a right to know the details of our private lives now? As far as I can see there’s no evidence whatsoever that he committed a crime here. Holly going to public to the press about her “hurt feelings” is IMO a bigger betrayal than him lying to her about a very sensitive and private matter. He had a pretty compelling reason for lying - what was her compelling reason for her actions?

User1529865 · 28/05/2023 08:50

If Holly has to go and the bosses of ITV are still there that would be very wrong

Stellawella · 28/05/2023 08:51

Greengreengrass231 · 28/05/2023 08:49

They should give the gig to Ruth and eamon

Absolutely not. Eamon is an awful presenter.

I totally agree. The people at the top must have known and chose to turn a blind eye. They’re far more culpable than his work colleagues

Greengreengrass231 · 28/05/2023 08:49

They were thrown under a bus by those in charge to protect golden boy - heads at the top have to roll, surely

Actually yes.

If I an 18 year old a job and rumours started that I had been grooming the 18 year since they were 15 and I was sleeping with the 18 year old I got a job with, I would expect my employers to be massively concerned and have an opinion on it. I would also expect my coworkers to be massively concerned, have an opinion and even put in a complaint.

Besides which, you can lose your job for creating bad optics and bringing yourself and your employer into disrepute.

User1529865 · 28/05/2023 08:54

It's the people at the top that must bear this, not the presenters and ex presenters.

A man groomed a male teenager and you want to spin this into a story about the poor womenz being blamed blamed for his crime. Have a fucking day off! She knew what was going on and is now being mocked for all the statements she’s putting out trying to distance herself from
it. She is playing people for fools.

ProfessorXtra · 28/05/2023 08:55

Oh and if my employer investigated and I lied, I would 100% expect to lose my job when the truth came out

Greengreengrass231 · 28/05/2023 08:56

I always felt there would be a massive fall from grace for these two

User1529865 · 28/05/2023 08:56

Doesn't the woman at the top work for the government too

Winterday1991 · 28/05/2023 08:57

It worked on her favour to have not known. Now the chickens are coming home to roost. Deserves everything she gets. She's manipulated a bubbly perfect mummy image for years. So happy her true character is finally showing. I can tell you, she is not a nice person at all.

benfoldsfivefan · 28/05/2023 09:00

All this reminds me of the bullshit people like Meryl Streep and Emma Thompson said at the time Harvey Weinstein was exposed about them not knowing what he did yet they worked and socialised with him for years.

Nobody is blaming Holly for PS’s actions, but anyone who thinks she didn’t know is very naive. She is, obviously, a very shrewd operator and after the dust settles she and her precious brand will be completely fine unless something leaks like a past email that she did know (unlikely). Her Instagram statement was on-point and I expect her P.R firm are planning a teary interview to be broadcast soon.
