Lovely to have the sun finally but I already feel too warm after just a few days of sunshine! Anyone else the same?!

No, but it is a contrast with even last week. Though judging by what some people have chosen to wear, you'd think it was going to be 30C not 20C.

InAFettle · 27/05/2023 15:17

Well, I’ve been gardening and I’m pouring with sweat.

We all feel the heat differently, I don’t see why people have to be so disparaging and snippy about those who think it’s too hot / still cold though.

the80sweregreat · 27/05/2023 15:23

I live fairly close to a seaside place and went for a walk much earlier on. It was mix of people in sports tops, shorts and t's , hoodies and one in a fairly heavy looking winter coat. The ones on the beach were not in swimsuits yet ( although swimming in that water probably isn't a good idea!) it was busy. The weather brings people out of hibernation. I do stay in when it's really hot and hide though.

memoirsofatrespasser · 27/05/2023 15:29

Kent coast here. Warm in the sun but still very breezy. Definitely nowhere near 'too hot'! I've still got a light sweater on.

Arewehumanorarewecupboards · 27/05/2023 15:36

I really love it. It’s 20 here and going up to 24 next week.

Sussexcricket · 27/05/2023 15:57

It's just about right here. South East and 20c

longtompot · 27/05/2023 15:58

I am loving it, though will be less enthusiastic when it goes above 25deg. My dd is less appreciative of the heat and wants to move to Scotland🤣 I will say the PLE I have has made my skin quite sore despite factor 50 suncream ☹️

SquigglePigs · 27/05/2023 15:59

Yep, it's 25 here and I hate it already! Not too bad in the shade though to be fair.

SirenSays · 27/05/2023 16:00

Never

MovinGroovinBarbie · 27/05/2023 16:01

Tbf the last two nights I've opened a window as felt a bit stuffy.

IDontWantToBeAPie · 27/05/2023 16:09

I hate hot weather and even I know it's not too hot OP. It's 19 to 23 degrees across the UK. That's the same as most places winter central heating.... try wearing a sun dress and you'll be fine.

AuntieMarys · 27/05/2023 16:11

I've just come in as I can feel my skin is getting hot with factor 50. But I have Aperol Spritz, a good book and music on so am quite happy

Can't stand posts like this. We live in a cold country where most people save up all year to go and get two weeks of sun.
We get one day of warmth and people start moaning.
Sorry but get over it. Think of the electric costs you're saving if nothing else.

This!
FGS! The weather in the UK is crap for the majority of the time. A few days in a row and people are whinging. Ridiculous.

itsmellslikepopcarn · 27/05/2023 16:12

I’m up north where it’s 21, not a cloud in the sky and breezy - perfect weather!

Ginmonkeyagain · 27/05/2023 16:19

Not at all. We went to an outdoor festival yesterday and I was perfectly comfortable in jeans, sandals and a cotton shirt over a vest. By 8pm I had to get out a cotton scarf and light jacket.

Today I walked to the shops in a denim skirt and tshirt and shoved a cardie in my bag as it didn't look like it will be that warm.

FOJN · 27/05/2023 16:27

It's about 20 degrees here, glorious sunshine with a light breeze, it's perfect. I wish it could stay like his all summer long.

DelilahBucket · 27/05/2023 16:31

Definitely not. It's a lovely 21 degrees where I am. Shorts and t-shirt weather, nice enough to sit in the garden, not hot at night. I live late Spring weather.
During the heatwave last year it hit 42 degrees, THAT was hot!

Hidingawaytoday · 27/05/2023 16:33

I went out this morning and regretted my 3/4 length leggings and short sleeves as I was chilly walking to the station. I then sat outside having lunch with my friend, and now regretting them for a different reason... 🍅

fussychica · 27/05/2023 16:35

As the Spring has been so poor this year I'd like it to stay like this or warmer until I go away in September. Plenty of rain during the nights to keep it looking green and not parched would be perfect.

User1529865 · 27/05/2023 16:35

It's just right, quite warm outside and 19c in the house

Thesunnymood · 27/05/2023 16:35

Some people act like they live behind polar circle normally🙈. 20 degrees is not too hot for people, nor for animals. That's standard room temperature

Woman2023 · 27/05/2023 16:37

In my 50s now, in the last couple of years I have gone off hot weather. I used to love it, but find I overheat really easily these days.

Soubriquet · 27/05/2023 16:38

Not quite but I’m not out in the sunshine. I hide when it gets warm. When it starts getting too hot in the house, that’s when I start grumping

User1529865 · 27/05/2023 16:38

It looks like being nice all week as well, just right for half term, lots of families will be going away for a UK holiday this week

Hedjwitch · 27/05/2023 16:44

Sheesh. Months of winter, followed by a cold, wet spring. The sun has been out for a few days and people are complaining. Its warm, not hot.
