The WHO want your four year old to be taught about masturbation and gender identity

This is where queer theory gets you. Women have been sounding the alarm on the consequences of the promotion of queer theory in all realms of life. This is what it looks like when applies to sex ed for very young children.

So, before you dismiss people like me as modern day Mary Whitehouses, just take a read and ask yourself why? What problem is this solving? Why do very young children need to be taught about sex and sexual pleasure? Are they benefiting, if not, who is?

(article behind a paywall, but there is a trick that will allow you to read it. A quick google should tell you).

Outrage over WHO advice on sexuality for infants

Guide argues that ‘sexuality education starts from birth’

It's interesting that people are saying "we taught our children that masturbation is normal / feels nice / etc". The key word there is "we", as in the parents. But this report is about education and educators. One wonders what sort of people would have an interest in talking about explicit sexual issues with other people's pre-teens.

There's some unusual stuff in the original WHO report about breaking down morality as well, with the implication that morality, in the concept of sex education, are a bad thing.

The WHO are not suggesting masturbation be taught in schools to 4 year olds. This hysteria has been going on for years and it still isn't happening.

FactCheck: Will children be taught how to masturbate as part of their education from September?

The claim had been made by social media users.

It's WHO, just look at their track record. IMHO The whole organisation is rotten to its core.

Well if your small children masturbate in public, please do your bit of parenting and ask them to carry on in private (as weird as that sounds).
I see no need whatsoever to discuss such private, sexual matters in a class setting lead by adult strangers.

I'm 36 and I wouldn't want that sort of "awareness" done to me.
I would have felt completely uncomfortable with masturbation and sex topic as a child. How about those boundaries?? Not wanting to talk sex in class?

The only person spreading "awareness" and "comfort within my body" was also abusing me as a child.

I'll FUCK UP any adult talking sex to my small child before they fuck my child.

It's not happening. It's not being taught to 4 year olds in school nor did the WHO suggest it should.

QueenCamilla · 14/05/2023 12:18

And to those naively trusting that the sex education lessons won't cross any boundaries... Here's an activity from one of those lessons as experienced by my 14 yo niece about 5 years ago:

When taught about safe sex, they (girl pupils) had to put a condom onto a banana.... With their mouth.

It's most likely a mixed class now, if the current state of sex-politics is anything to go by.

No one in school is teaching small children about sex, we don't chat sex in class or go into detail about sex. I work with KS1 and KS2 children.

What we do teach from a young age is bodily autonomy, awareness of boundaries and building positive relationships, we tesch how to keep our bodies healthy and so on. This then forms the building blocks as they grow and progress through school. In KS2, year 4 in our school (so age 8-9) they start to introduce concepts around puberty and by year 5 (9-10) they have had all the details of what to expect from the next stage of their development and reproductive health starts to be introduced.

Absolutely no one in schools is telling four year olds about sex and showing them how to masterbate.

TheShellBeach · 14/05/2023 12:21

This thread comes up on here every so often and it gets the same hysterical replies each time.
Nobody is teaching children to masturbate.
They don't need to be taught something which they already do by instinct.
Children do need to be told that they are entitled to boundaries regarding who touches their bodies, though.
The two issues are separate.

Considering that all the gloves, etc in our first aid kit have to be latex free in case of allergies I call bullshit on a school allowing a load of 9-10yr olds to put latex directly into their mouths. This urban legend has been doing the rounds for years, if you're going to lie at least make up a new one.

That did it for me, I was being totally swayed by the posters who were giving out links to prove that this was just another right wing propaganda thread, which ive noticed more of them on Sundays for some reason, but then Queen Camilla dropped that unverifiable anecdote and thats it wOnT yOu pLeAsE tHiNk oF tHe cHiLdReN

What absolute nonsense.
This did not happen.

I'll take "things that didn't happen" for £5,000 please Alex.

QueenCamilla · 14/05/2023 12:31

@IamAlso4eels

I don't think that being taught how to masturbate would ever be a thing.
I object to some random getting their nut off at chatting to kids whether "it feels nice to touch oneself", how "it's OK, we all do it" or "there are certain places where touch can feel pleasurable".

Stick to safety and biology. Though I suppose the latter has been cancelled... 🙄 Just fine, let's talk sex and gender instead 🙄🙄🙄

This was definitely part of 80s 'AIDS' era 'safe sex' talks at university but anyone could have a go at it and it was all part of the fun. They made sure the condoms were the flavoured ones.

Same.

I’ve just found this as a possible primary source. Can anyone verify if this is the correct WHO document?

I really don't think small children need to know about masturbation.

Good job schools aren't teaching them about it then.

It's not. You've been told repeatedly it isn't happening nor did the WHO suggest it.

CabernetSauvignon · 14/05/2023 12:36

The issue around masturbation seems essentially to be quite pragmatic recognition that some children of this age have discovered that touching certain parts of yourself is pleasurable, so it is education around the fact that we don't do that in public. It's not aimed at telling 4 year olds to give it a go. This looks like a fairly typical Daily Telegraph attempt to wind its readership up into a froth of rage.

What a load of shit. Maybe your niece and her friends were fucking around, but the teacher telling them to just didn't happen 😂 either gullible, or hearing what you want to hear to fit your agenda

Sissynova · 14/05/2023 12:39

It shouldn’t but it still amazes me how many people are intent on spreading lies and misinformation. Like is it just naïve ignorance or is it malice?

While schools are at it they should also focus on studying sources and where information comes from. Too many people are so quick to believe the utter bullshit the OP is spouting.

QueenCamilla · 14/05/2023 12:39

@Astralitzia
@TheShellBeach

Happened indeed. Well, I wasn't there but the 14yo was. A school in Kent.
We were gobsmacked but the actual family found it somewhat amusing.

Just as well it wasn't my child.

P. S.

I also love that's it's two of you calling fiction. How predictable... You wouldn't want to know it as it's exposing your "boundary teaching" for boundary eroding that it is, right?

Hands off my children!!!! 😡

Ya'll? Dear lord. Did you read my link? No ban...

Women of childbearing age should not drink alcohol, the World Health Organisation has said.

WHO officials were accused of being "sexist and paternalistic" after issuing the global advice, covering billions of women regardless of their family plans.

The WHO's draft global alcohol action plan 2022-2030 urges countries to pay "appropriate attention to prevention" of consumption in certain groups, including children, teenagers and women of childbearing age.
