Same as you plus Cucumber
Sometimes a white cabbage and make my own coleslaw coz I'm so mumsnet like that.

tikkanaan · 11/05/2023 22:08

Courgette is nice too

thaegumathteth · 11/05/2023 22:11

Cucumber, carrots, tomatoes (loads), celery, radishes, sweetcorn / corn on cob.

Bananas, apples, melon, blueberries, mango

We eat much more veg than fruit in general.

Oh I forgot red onions and mushrooms

AudHvamm · 11/05/2023 22:12

Veg box schemes are a good way of trying a variety of veg, and change throughout the year if you go for a seasonal one.

DailyEnergyCrisis · 11/05/2023 22:13

Broccoli, cucumber, red peppers, sweetcorn, vine tomatoes, two mini lettuces, carrots.

Less frequently big bag of onions, mushrooms, courgette and aubergine

broccoli - the florets steamed are lovely - but I do realise lots of people don't like it. Of late we have been buying red cabbage - lovely braised or done in a pan , both with a chopped up apple.

It depends on the price but salad bits including peppers are staples plus carrots, green beans and broccolini are veg staples as we all eat them.

i generally have bananas, oranges and apples (kids will only eat apples chopped up!) and we have frozen berries for smoothies and berries when they are in season as the DC love soft fruit the most.

DilkushaKitchen · 11/05/2023 22:16

Our staples are: rocket, lettuce, cucumber, avocado, tomatoes, red onions, brown onions, garlic, peppers, some kind of green veg, grapes, apples, raspberries, oranges.
Lots of others added depending on the seasons, lots more varied fruit in the warmer months and sometimes we get slightly different from the staples but that is roughly it.
