Do you keep your toilet bleach in the bathroom?

As the title says… do you keep your domestos or other toilet bleach in the bathroom?

if so, where? Next to the loo, in a cupboard? If not, where in the house?

Please help settle a dispute with my boyfriend as to where the bleach belongs on the house.. it’s getting contentious now 🤣🤣🤣🤣

me viewpoint is that toilet bleach belongs to the bathroom, preferably next to the loo

Why?! It takes what 5 seconds to go to a utility cupboard and get bleach and brush if needed. I think keeping that next to the loo is lazy and untidy.

No utility cupboard. No cupboard in bathroom. Only one under kitchen sink, downstairs. Two things are not untidy and I don't want to be moving a loo brush around anyway!

I didn't know there was "bathroom" bleach and "kitchen" bleach! I just have two bottles, one for loo and one downstairs under sink for cleaning drains etc.
I think it's polite to leave it easily accessible, along with spare loo rolls in case a guest has a dodgy tummy etc. I'd be mortified leaving someone's loo unclean without a squirt of bleach after I'd been.

Having 3 bottles bleach by each loo takes up more space than one bottle bleach in one central location.

I need two bottles anyway in case one runs out before the next shop. So no different if both next to loos or both in cupboard.

A basket full of loo rolls and bleach and loo brush neatly beside the loo is the sign of a considerate host to me.

Your boyfriend is weird 😨

PurpleFlower1983 · 09/05/2023 06:52

In the bathroom cupboard.

GeraltsBathtub · 09/05/2023 06:55

My house is a bleach-free zone. I use a non-bleach toilet cleaner which I keep on a ledge behind the toilet (boxed in pipes).

sorrynotathome · 09/05/2023 06:57

No bleach anywhere in my 3-bathroom house. Never have used it, never will.

ferntwist · 09/05/2023 06:57

Not in the bathroom but in the cupboard under the kitchen sink as that has magnetic lock so the kids can’t get it. If we didn’t have kids it would probably be in the bathroom cupboard.

DP, keeps his in the kitchen. Which is downstairs and far far away from the loo 🤯

Maybe he pops a squirt of it in the dishwasher along with the toilet brush 😉

One in the bathroom - high up cupboard but not locked.

One in the shower room - low down cupboard, not locked.

One in the pantry - on a high shelf.

Awww he’s definitely a keeper!
I really want to know what everyone is bleaching in their kitchen??

@Coronationstation

to be fair my kitchen bleach rarely gets used these days. Occasionally I'll use a bit for tea stains in mugs, stubborn stains on a dish cloth, I think that's about all these days.

kitchen one under the sink.

bathroom on on the ledge beside the loo. I only buy the white bottles then it blends in more. I don't like it there, but it's too tall for the drawers in the bathroom & I'm not keeping it in the kitchen. Bleurgh
