Theme park short break, 2 families sharing the same accommodation.

Family 1, 2 adults 1 child 11 year old.

Family 2, 2 adults 2 children 11 year old and 3 year old.

Tickets for the park included within the accommodation price. 4 adults and 2 children, 3 year olds goes free

How would you split the cost?

How many bedrooms are there?

SquareRootOfAllEvil · 05/05/2023 18:58

50/50 if the accommodation used is broadly equal

Blossomtoes · 05/05/2023 18:58

50/50

Bimbom · 05/05/2023 18:59

50/50

kej567890 · 05/05/2023 18:59

What's the room set up in the accommodation?

Okunevo · 05/05/2023 18:59

50/50 unless the three year old is in their own room

Bargellobitch · 05/05/2023 19:00

50/50 unless there's a massive accommodation difference.

wherethecityis · 05/05/2023 19:00

It depends on the accommodation. Is a whole extra bedroom needed because the 3 year old child is going?

Oysterbabe · 05/05/2023 19:01

Definitely 50/50.

Batalax · 05/05/2023 19:01

50/50

3 year old isn’t costing anything unless you specifically got a larger property especially for the 3 year old.

Wishawisha · 05/05/2023 19:01

50/50 surely as you’re almost certainly paying for the same number of rooms? When you booked it I assume you could see the price of the individual parts of the deal?

SchoolShenanigans · 05/05/2023 19:01

50/50. Anything else would just seem tight to me.

Ponoka7 · 05/05/2023 19:05

Of course it should be 50/50, is anyone saying otherwise?

helbel34 · 05/05/2023 19:06

It is a 3 bedroom lodge.

Bedroom for each couple 2 11 year old girls share and 3 year old share with parents.

Daffodilmorning · 05/05/2023 19:06

Either 50/50 or by room (depending on whether the three year old means a significant increase in accommodation costs).

Bunnichick · 05/05/2023 19:07

50/50 as you're sharing the accommodation equally apart from the 3 year old who is free and in with you.

edwinbear · 05/05/2023 19:08

50/50 as the 3yr old isn’t costing anything

namechange1986 · 05/05/2023 19:09

50/50

Lovingitallnow · 05/05/2023 19:10

I can't think of how it would be anything but 50/50 unless the first family are saying they would have shared one room if it weren't for the second family coming? 50/50 just seems like the obvious fair solution?

SquareRootOfAllEvil · 05/05/2023 19:13

Definitely 50/50 given your update

Isyesterdaytomorrowtoday · 05/05/2023 19:14

50:50

Twillow · 05/05/2023 19:15

Why would you not split it 50:50? The 3 year old is hardly here or there plus her ticket is free.

helbel34 · 05/05/2023 19:15

Thanks for everyone's responses, I'm in family 2 and have booked this break. Family 1 were under the impression that the accommodation would be split 7 ways as the number of people travelling. I was thinking 50/50 per family.

PuggyMum · 05/05/2023 19:18

They get the benefit of the the 3 yo staying with them for free as the little one is in with them and also free for the theme park.
It's a bit crazy to think they could use the little one to reduce their costs!

The three year old isn’t costing anything. They’re bonkers.
