God yes, she was on that show this morning spouting away wasnt she. Yes, lots of us have given birth and gone back to work too love.

swiftyknickers · 17/02/2008 20:50

i think in a sea of painfully thin, dull boring female celebrities she is quite cool.i like her. she is bright and very pretty

Sarahjct · 17/02/2008 20:51

I thought that. Nice enough girl but why would I want to read her diary about what it was really like to be pregnant? I know what it's like, I've just done it!

To be fair though, I guess we all feel like that when we've had a baby (I do) but we haven't all got the media attention to be able to tell the world.

Bangandthedirtisgone · 17/02/2008 20:51

Did you see her on never mind the buzzcocks? She said she was going to bring out her pregnancy diary as a book.

Simon Amstell replied, "right, because people have only been having babies for about ten years now, so they could do with your help".

PMSL

Do think she's quite sweet though.

Bluestocking · 17/02/2008 20:52

No, YANBU. The woman is intolerable.

bookwormmum · 17/02/2008 20:52

I quite like Myleene. Why shouldn't she cash in on having a baby?

I'd write my pg diary if I thought someone would buy it .

Troutpout · 17/02/2008 20:54

she actually is
I know of no one else

poshwellies · 17/02/2008 20:55

I read Jamie Olivers wife's pregnancy diary and I wasn't even preg

poshwellies · 17/02/2008 20:56

but I agree with Bluestocking

Bangandthedirtisgone · 17/02/2008 20:56

I'm a bit confused about who would want to read about what it's like to be pg. I mean, a pg woman/woman with kids knows, and, well, is a non-pg woman that desperate to find out?

expatinscotland · 17/02/2008 20:56

ALL celebs and journos are pioneers of the pregnancy, childbirth and mothering experience.

NO ONE in the history of womankind can possibly have had such a similar experience.

I do like Mylene, however!

barbamama · 17/02/2008 20:58

I haven't read any of this thread except the title and I have to say that is exactly what I thought when I saw she had done a book about being pregnant and having a baby. I have read far more exciting, interesting and revealing accounts of it on here too, judging by the first serilaisation I read in a newspaper the other day (I got pregnant. I was hormonal. I gave my husband a hard time. Yawn.)

notnowbernard · 17/02/2008 20:59

Maybe some readers like the 'identification' they have with her... (or any celeb for that matter)

expatinscotland · 17/02/2008 20:59

i want to identify with a celebrity's purse .

Twiglett · 17/02/2008 21:00

imagine having your entire PFB syndrome out there on show to the world though

notnowbernard · 17/02/2008 21:02

I want Myleene's bod in a bikini.

notnowbernard · 17/02/2008 21:03

(Something I'm NEVER going to identify with!)

bookwormmum · 17/02/2008 21:55

I have one of the dresses she modelled for M & S (the red one with the floaty bits at the back). Haven't worn it yet though....

MrsMattie · 17/02/2008 21:58

Myleene (always makes me want to say 'Maaarleeennneee' in Boycey-esque voice, btw..) is pretty inoffensive as slebs go, but if her book is anything like Jools Oliver's it'll be a big fat pile of stinking poop.

Maidamess · 17/02/2008 22:21

I thought Geri Halliwell was the only person ever to have had a baby.

hana · 17/02/2008 22:22

there will alwasy be a celebrity to do this every 2 or 3 years, thinking they are the first to ever experience pregnancy motherhood etc etc. same as newspaper columnists. only vaguely interesting if you're going thorugh it at the same time, or a first time mum yourself imo

DualCycloneCod · 17/02/2008 22:23

Come on ladies, haven't we all suffered from pfb syndrome to some extent? OK, so we weren't a bit famous and no-one wanted to pay us money for our stories but give her a break, once she's had another baby and reality has kicked in, she'll look back and cringe, as we all do.
