Are there any vets about?

I know I should post in the litter tray but I’m desperate for advice or reassurance

much loved cat started making a low moaning miaow this morning like he was in agony. Panting and drooling slightly

took him to the vet and he’s still there. They’ve x rated him and there is a lot of white density in his chest

they are going to ultrasound in the morning. They don’t know what it is maybe fluid or blood. He didn’t have any signs of trauma

I know no one can know and I have to wait till the morning but I’m in bits and just wondered if it could be anything not too terrible and if he’s going to be ok

i realise as I type this it’s a ridiculous question and I have to wait but just hoping someone can magically say “oh it might be xx he will be fine”

I no know one can I’m just so upset. I love him so much 😞

Take that bandage off, they should have told you to at the vets. It's a pressure bandage where they took out the iv catheter. If left on the foot will swell.

catgirl1976 · 08/05/2023 00:26

@sheusesmagazines tuank you I’ve taken it off. I thought it should DH was worried.. anti way it’s off

Very handsome boy, they aren’t just pets, they’re family. Keeping him in my thoughts, I hope it’s good news tomorrow. Xxxx

Great news 💙

@catgirl1976 glad your kitty is feeling better. I would consider telling the vets that they didn't make it clear to take the bandage off. It's good for them to know so the same doesn't happen again. I always write on the bandages "TAKE OFF @ xx:xxx" in Sharpie.

Thank you @sheusesmagazines I will mention it to them when he goes for his check up.

He seems a lot brighter this morning although he is not enjoying taking his tablets (and I have the scars to prove it 🤣)

Have you tried crushing them and mixing them up with Lickelix?

Been reading your updates OP and am thrilled to bits that he’s home and going to be ok. I too have a black boy cat and I love him to bits. They’re not “just a cat” they’re dearly loved. Best wishes going forward. He’s beautiful 🐈‍⬛ x
